You know that "too good to be true" rule, well gog.com is the exception to that. It's good and very true!

You can purchase using PayPal if you are nervous about handing over credit card details.

The site is perfectly legit though. Legit and awesome.

The only thing is that it's an international company, so some banks will automatically flag transactions here until you clear them up. I haven't had that problem personally, but I know some people have.

EDIT: And yes, you will be spending a lot more on games. But they're good games! And GOG has pretty good support, just a bit slow sometimes. :)

I use my PayPal account to buy from this site and haven't had a problem. So, if you have a PayPal account and are worried this, that's a good way to go. When you're buying games, PayPal is one of the payment options.

It happened three or four times to me, just as an anti-fraud measure You'll just have to call your credit card company and have them make a long-term exception. And they'll place an exception on either GOG or Cyprus as a whole.

Yes this place is legit. If you have problems contact support, or post a message here. The staff are active on the forum and can help you out. Winter sale should be starting in a few weeks, so your wallet will feel pain. Feel free to jump in and start talking to people on the forums, I did about 6 months ago and have had a great time here.

If you want, use the paypal checkout option. I have done so every time and haven't had a problem with my purchases being rejected. No need to setup a separate account with them.

Yes, it's legit in the sense of "Let's leg-it and get the hell out of here!"

No but seriously, you can trust us, we are 100% not spam bots generated by the site to lull you into a false sense of security. Promise.

Gog is totally legit and cool ;) Funny thing it was the only site I ever jumped right in without asking questions looking at forums etc , but as other have said it becomes extremely addictive , so watch your wallet !

I mean, if this site was a big scam, wouldn't everyone here tell you it was great and you should spend all your money anyway?

You're much better off doing a little digging of your own like Adzeth has done, or checking myWOT, which is an awesome place too.

I've bought over a 100 games here and no problems, so yep. :)

Lots of sales, so they didn't really cost that much over 2 and a half years.
