I was hoping I could ask you guys for the name of this game... I remember loving it as a kid, but it's a complete blur to me now. I know some of you are superior when it comes to this stuff, so I thought it'd be worth a shot.

Here the details that I can remember:

- It's an RPG PC game
- Single-player, no co-op or online
- You choose between using a Warrior with an axe or a Mage that shoots out bright blue balls horizontally
- There's sometimes a ghost that flys around the map. If it touches you, numbers fly out of you rapidly (sort of like damage indicators), and the numbers tell you the amount of money that was stolen from you
- nothing can be done about the ghosts, they can't be shooed away unless you travel to another "grid" on the map that's displayed at the corner of your screen
- The shop only opens at certain times. The shop has a shield/wheel door that rolls over when it's open, unveiling a shop
- the items for sale in the shop depend on whether you chose to be a Warrior or a Mage
- inside the shop, there is also a room to gamble your money (on slots? or something)
- The game was released between 2000 - 2005

Sorry if I'm still being too vague. Just throw out the name of a few games that sound like a possibility and I'll check on google to see if it is.
If you can find the name of this game, I'll love you forever :P

Does anyone have any sort of clue?
It does sound familiar to me as well.....sorry, can't help.
I think you have enough data to search through MobyGames. Give it a shot.

I'm not very familiar with PC games, but that almost sounds like an old school side scrolling action/Japanese RPG of some sort.
Which brings me to my question, what is the view perspective of this game you're looking for?

Unfortunately, I really don't remember... Even that component, I've forgotten about... but the other aspects of the game was what I hoped people could recognize the game by.

Really? Have you played this kind of game before? Do you have a name you can think of?

Yeah, I took a look through MobyGames... I couldn't exactly find it, but maybe I wasn't looking correctly, as I can't remember those technicalities...

It kinda reminds me of an indie game but that was a sidescroller. Can you remember anything of the company that produced it? A name, a logo, a signature, a producer, so on?

I have no clue, but it sounds interesting. It is not Lamentation Sword, I guess. LS had coop and online and no such ghosts...

EDIT: Sword of Mana maybe, or something from that series?

This is what I was thinking, as well.
It kinda sounds like an old arcade game i used to play, can't remember the name of it as well, but it was much older, prolly around 1990 or so
Does anyone else have any sort of guess?
I'm pretty certain that this game was ONLY made for the PC :\
What kind of view does the game have? Isometric? 2D from the side? 3D?
