If you recall I made a question not so long ago asking what hosting provider should I move to. One of the providers suggested was godaddy so I decided to try it and psot results since nobody had any real experience with them.

In short, don't bother with them, problems started with welcome mail sent to my adress, which contained wrong DNS nameservers. Confusion deepened when new nameservers were provided but we discovered that our email is based on european servers but they provided wrong mx records in DNS. I was laughing hard when they replied that they can't modify my mx record since I don't host domain with them oO but mx records were magically changed after that incredibly stupid reply from their support.
Cherry on top was today when my emails started bouncing back because godaddy emails server is on blacklists.

So, next time you think about reliable hosting, DON'T choose godaddy.

I'm going to put up with them for another month, just to see how they handle this spam bullshit and if they continue this stupidity I'm going to the one Karvazov suggested.

GoDaddy's commercials don't say a damn thing about their services but just show off supermodels and NASCAR racers. That should have been Clue #1.

You can also give hostso a try for cheap but good hosting and excellent support.

well I've left that thread alive for quite a while and nobody was there to offer pearls of wisdom before I spent my money on them.
But anything's better than Serbian providers, I get the urge to kill someone when dealing with them. Or if they have good support they won't give you access to any meaningfull management console on your account. At least I can modify my DNS here, ALL OF THE GODDAMN RECORDS.

Sorry about that. I said I'd heard good things about them, but I have no personal experience with them (I use Swedish registrar Loopia for the domain and host my stuff at home).

I should've researched more, It seems Loopia has a Serbian branch as well. I cannot account for their hosting services though.

i had mostly negative experiences with loopia here, could be ebtter in sweden though ;)
No problem, I expected trouble so I considered that as a test, one day I'll find a reliable one but until then at least I can warn other people about their business policy :)

GoDaddy is indeed a company, that doesn't give a damn about their customer after they've received the payment. Me and my bro had their server some time ago, but they were riddled with insane lag and the hosted sites worked on and off during the same day.

And you are very right, they don't even know if you're at their servers or not which is very lame.
Also one guy tried to find my .rs domain via lookup tools that don't support national domains and kept sending me BUT YOU DONT HAVE A DOMAIN!!1!1! support answers until i pointed him to our national registry.
I think I could run a godaddy support with 10 good people who know to differentiate their ass from their head
