I'm a bit less trusting of Rod than Jefequso. While it seems unlikely that mafia would be given such powerful information, the majority of his actions from the start of the game have been pretty anti-town. Now, I don't think Rod is stupid so I'm trying to work out what he was up to... Were his actions pro-town but in some way we don't yet understand or is this some kind of plot?
I think it's entirely possible that this is an elaborate plan with Rod and Baz both being mafia. I'd be perfectly willing to join the Rodzaju-wagon just to clear things up. After all, it's our only source of concrete information as things we find out at night are hard to confirm, especially since ViolaTorx seems to playing with sanities a lot.

Yeah... again, if people think that lynching Rod is the best way to get town information at this point, then fine... that's what needs to happen. I'm just not convinced that he's scum.

Actually, come to think of it...has anyone thought that maybe he's just playing for himself? As in, he's neither town nor mafia, but just needs to survive? That might explain a lot, especially if his role is as complicated as it seems.

Oh, many times. But a survivor probably would prefer not to draw attention to himself if at all possible.

Especially since actually claiming survivor is a pretty good scumtell, since if you're actually survivor you'll probably claim town.

Yeah, but considering how powerful he seems to be, perhaps he has some sort of weird rule that he has to reveal X amount of information each day or something like that?

I dunno. X is pulling some odd quirks, so I'm just brainstorming.

well if it was joe's setup I would consider it likely, but not this one. For I doubt X would do that..he seems to be running a little more normal game from what I've seen so far.

I have thought about this myself, but there's only one conclusion is he IS survivor - lynch him. A survivor shoudl always be considered antitown, as he would rather end the game in mafia win than town win if presented the chance.
I don't think he could be survivor. Survivor shoud try to stay low and not to draw attention, while Rod is trying his best to het lynched.
I am NOT survivor.
@ vitek, I'm not trying to get lynched either.

As I believe someone pointed out earlier, I'm not particularly good at laying low!
I am going away soon (in 1 hour) and will be back late Sunday. I don't know how much I'll be able to post until then.

Hehe, thats a very true point - although tings seems to have reached some sort of standstill :P

Is he 3rd party then? That might explain how he could have information and flavour-contact with town and (apparently?) scum...
