I read this, laughed, then later printed it off, took it to school and showed it to my friends to see what they thought about it. The general opinion is that although some of them make sense, most of it is complete bullshit. That is what I thought too until I read her comments section.
Here people asked about her points trying to find loopholes and/or make sense of it all and then she has to explain her reasoning or rationalization towards her points. When she explains some of her points and why she made it a point, I could kind of see where she was coming from by saying them. That being said the fact that I had to look at the comments section to figure out what she meant by half her points just says a lot about her and her blog. I mean the only time she would explain or back up any of her points was when someone questioned her about it and she would then make a reply of "no no no you got it all wrong this is what I meant by it " leaving the blog itself making you scratching your head and easily open for such hate she has already received.
This tells me she is either ignorant over that fact that people wouldn't fully understand her message or she is really looking for attention and I have a feeling it is the latter.
some of the points still don't make any sense to me though. "He has ever revealed he conceives of sex as fundamentally transactional" Okay I am assuming that means that a man thinks that sex is usually paid for. An interesting point but I'm not sure if such a man exists because men don't want to pay for sex, the only time they do is when a man can't get sex otherwise or at the very least thinks he can't get sex otherwise or at that point in time is to lazy or has to big of an urge to go the long route.
the other one is "He discusses the “types” of women he finds sexually appealing and/or attempts to demean women by telling them he does not find them sexually appealing" Ok I can kinda see the last part except for a few shades of grey. If you go up to some random person and say they are sexually unattractive, i'm not really sure about you being a rape supporter but i'm pretty sure your an asshole, but if you tell someone who is stalking you and you tell them that you don't find them attractive or want to be in a relationship with them and to leave you the hell alone then yeah that's okay. the first part really gets me because apparently we can't have preferences when it come to what man/woman we find attractive. In the comments there was this one guy who was young and unexperienced and his peers noticed this and asked him what type of women he liked and he just said that he don't like types of women he just likes women and that types don't exist. first of all that is a nice happy thought in a happy like perfect world but back in reality there are types of women and second of all your making the assumption that types of women are really a bad thing when I see it as neutral. Now I'm not sure if types has some kind of deep meaning to it cause I certainly don't see it, but I assume they mean appearance and personality. For appearance I see nothing wrong with having a preference whether it is something simple as preferring a blonde or brunette or maybe a certain race of men or women. Now is saying I prefer one over another mean I think the other is unattractive? no it doesn't, unless I said something something specific like "Women with big tits are hot and women who don't have big tits are ugly" not only would I be a complete asshole but I would also be pretty picky. In terms of personality this is my preference. if I find you attractive in terms of appearance but your personality kinda shows you as kinda of a bitch than I probably won't find you attractive anymore because I don't think being in a relationship with you is worth the fact that I have to deal with you being a bitch.
kind of a long post but that's what happens when I get into rant mode.
