Stuff: Did you install the Directors Cut Patch? Not sure you need it as it is for the North American version only . . . but thought I would mention it just in case . . . =)

Edit: You need to apply the 1.5 patch if you haven't already.
I checked the witcher.exe and it is version 1.5.0.1304 - I'm assuming that's the latest?

I installed the 1.5 patch over the 1.4 Enhanced Edition. Your exe is the same version as mine so . . . you're good to go . . . =)

To return to the subject, I also can't register the game, which is needed to update to Enchanted Edition (I have the first original game).

How can I update the game without registering, like some of you, insinuated?

You can't, short of downloading a crack of some kind. I'm about to buy the old one off GOG for $5 just so I can replay it before I delve into Witcher 2. Frustrating, but the options include waiting until they get their registration servers back online or instant gratification for $5. With most companies, I'd say that was their plan, as they'd know people would want to replay the first one, but CDProjekt is usually really cool.

So what I've gotta do - is just wait until they get their registration servers up?
One important question. I've started to re-play the first game, without the patches. Is this alright, even updating the game at a later point? Not ruining the saves and progress I've been doing?
