Yeah it's pretty funny (already posted) but I preferred the Quake one.

I especially liked the "quicktime event"

Sad part is, they didn't really hyperbolize much :P

I think it's equally good compared to the Quake one, they're just different styles. Quake has the irritated player voiceover, and Doom has the long-winded voiceovers and cutscenes, plus the health regen.

Honestly, I long for the days of key-hunting. Or at least if the game is linear, make it fast-paced (like Painkiller) instead of a slow-motion cover crawl.

Yeah, but the whole thing with the NPCs opening the doors and shooting the enemies for you was a nice touch. I felt the Quake one was missing that.

Actually, the Quake one was missing a lot. I felt like it didn't quite hit the nail on the head. For instance, why have a gigantic crosshair (something that's really not a problem in modern FPSs) and a easy boss fight? Modern FPSs don't have boss fights period. Especially not Call of Duty. It also left out some obvious riffs... stuff the Doom one covered, like the on-the-rails segment and quicktime events.

I really don't get why everyone complains about Call of Duty so much, I really enjoy them. They achieve exactly what they're going for. Simple action, spectacle, nice graphics. I can't bring myself to pay $99 for Modern Warfare 3 though.
