I happen to like industrial music, among many other genres.

Would anyone happen to know any good, but maybe less known industrial bands? I dont mind the language - everything goes.

Below some of my own favorites with examples - you can propably find more on your own..

1) Ruoska ("Whip")
->Basically finnish Rammstein, in finnish - so shouldnt be problem if you dont understand even german in the first place :) Anyway, just like Rammstein, Ruoska has pretty clever lyrics.

Helvettiin jäätynyt (Frozen in hell)

Porttikielto taivaaseen (Banned from heaven)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc6-FK6Pxk8

2) Turmion Kätilöt ("Midwives of Ruin")

Mostly in finnish, but they do have few in english as well.

Teurastaja (Butcher)

->>First contact! There are some flash "bunny videos" about this as well, in case you happen to know the particular genre.

Verta ja Lihaa (Blood and Flesh)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPUWQVrb9VU

Arise
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD3TtmbpdM4

3) Sybreed
Yes - the swiss can do music besides joddling (or how you write that). The singers voice is not as "industrial" as the finnish bands... But in my opinion english simplay aint as "metal" language as finnish in the first place ;) I wonder why they dont sing in german or french?

Bioactive

Ego bypass generator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAQ9dYrl9tQ

4) Rammstein

Learn german and it rises to ^2.

5) Scorngrain

Finnish, but in english. Has some "cyberish vibe" to it perhaps? Im yet learning to listen to this, yet some love this alot.

Utopia, Paranoia, Perversions
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6twNC41LNeU

Cat O'Nine tails
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6ntyneXAlY

Neurotech
From Slovenia I believe. Claim to play cybermetal - but I wouldnt know about that. Many songs had industriallish sound me thinks, but ofcourse I can be wrong. Well, could be it has even bit more rounded edges than Sybreed. Buts its good nontheless!

Nonexistent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP-kve-uGSc

..So there's few - opinions?
NIN NIN NIN!
Nine Inch Nails!

Euhm, not suited for little kids and NSFW due to lyrics I think =)

Love it.

I'll try to post some stuff after I get home from work.
Try Velcra; namely their debut album which is by far the best one. They're Finnish too.

Although I guess they could be even more industrial-ish; the later albums are but other than that the songs in them aren't as good imo. But the debut, Consequences of Disobedience is a diamond.

Speaking of Turmion Kätilöt, the song Vedetäänkö vai ei is definitely a partystarter. Such a great song :)
The one and only original industrial band.

Is Industrial Rock okay?

Gravity Kills - Guilty

Eisbrecher - Vergissmeinnicht

Combichrist - Get Your Body Beat

Partystarter? Not industrial, but...

I dont actually admit listening to Petri Nygård, but "Selvä päivä" (Sober Day) & "Sarvet esiin" (Horns forth) are -the- drunk party beats ;)

PETRI NYGÅRD FEAT. MOKOMA: SARVET ESIIN

Music videos propably make sense enough, even if you dont understand the words...

It's a tame performance. While Rammstein makes creepy videos and photos, these guys back in the 70s stitched open wounds live on stage... google the name of the band in connection with worlds blood and/or urine. The cross-dressing vocalist is ehh... perfectly ordinary.

Probably a poor choice of wording, what I meant was that if I'm listening to the song and have alcohol at hand, it's chugging time from there on out. Something about the whole thing that's really energizing and adrenaline boosting.

"Nyt loppu juominen ja aletaan ryyppäämään!"

-> "Time to stop drinking and lets start getting drunk" - or how you would translate that? ;=)

That's pretty good: or, "Let's stop sipping (or drinking) and begin getting wasted"

edit: back on topic, the Shadowgrounds OST is pretty industrialish. Some good stuff in there, like "Final Round" and "Total Metal Jacket".

Damnatus soundtrack (WH 40k fan movie killed by GamesWorkshop) has lots of interesting industrial / heavy / metal bands.
Someone already beat me to Gravity Kills. I never actually liked them much but they were from my home town which with a few exceptions tends to be an armpit for good hard rock. Fans of the move "Seven" can hear them playing in the background when Freeman and Pitt are questioning the guy in the sex shop about his "device".

Voice of God was also a homey but I doubt they ever signed with anyone and I doubt they've even been around since the mid 90s. They brought industrial in with a touch of M.Manson and would put on the most amazing fu%&ing shows you could imagine. Unfortunatly that sort of thing doesn't really transfer well in a recording studio which made their tapes a little flat.

I was going to end this but I noticed no one mentioned Ministry.

NO ONE MENTIONED MINISTRY!?!?! Ahhhh!!!

EVERYONE STOP!! Stop what you are doing. Screw the kids, they can feed themselves! Put down that toothbrush! The plants have enough water...STOP!
Stop, get in the car, drive to the nearest audio outlet and buy Ministry: Psalm 69!!!!
I can't repeat this enough! It is the greatest industrial...screw industrial...greatest record EVER! Ministry: Psalm 69!

I'll stop typping now so stop reading. Go! Go now and buy Ministry: Psalm 69!
