Prototype is a well-made game, but parts of it disturb me to no end. When you fire an assault rifle, the rounds sound more realilistic than most games, and the screams of civilians pierce the ears. When you pick a civilian up by the neck, listen to them plead for their lives, then throw them into a wall, seeing the blood splatter, hearing the head crush... This has to be the first game where I almost vomited while playing. Your guy with his tribal jacket and hoodie doesn't help diminish the feeling, either.
Other than that, it's Spider-Man meets The Hulk. Pretty decent running up buildings, gliding around, using your devastating powers to take out helicopters and tanks. Consuming people is a neat idea, and the way you absorb them somehow makes it feel less disturbing than it should be.
Sounds like my kinda game. >:3
Fun game. Not finished yet, but I'm enjoying it immensely. Though the game world could have been a lot better.

I feel you can say that about most open-world games. The biggest exceptions would have to be GTA IV and inFamous.

Nah, I mean the detail they put in the open world wasn't very good.
I love this game. I've been up all night creating untold amounts of carnage. Blood splattering all over the place, people being torn apart all around me, vehicles flying around, blowing up shit where ever I go... Laughing all the way.
Using the whip circle ability, while surrounded by tons of pedestrians fills me with glee, seeing all those people being ripped in half.
Destroying hives by running around, picking up vehicles and throwing them at it, while randomly snatching unlucky people to devour.
The gameplay is so demonically fast paced and stimulating, that hours pass by unnoticed.
Now I have to leave for work in 45 minutes, and I haven't slept at all because of this game.
Anyone playing this on PC ?
If so, can you answer me these 2 questions:
1. IS there a real save system, or is i tall checkpoint saves?
2. If, after you finish the game, can you try to bind End to one thing, and keypad 1(end) to another? Can you bind these 2 keys to seperate actions? How about 0(ins), 4(L.Arrow), 7(Home) ? Enter ?
If anyone can answer these I would be most appreciative.
TIA

I've finished it on PC. The answer to the first question is that the game uses both. You can save at any time and it also saves automatically between and mid- missions. I haven't checked key bindings, as I used my 360 controller.

Yeah but what's the chances of someone in real life becoming a super mutant and then rampaging through New York, vs. the chances of someone grabbing a gun and going into their place of work and opening fire?

If you work at Google, then the chances of the former are way higher.

Oh, OK. Yeah, I did this awesome tendril move, and that moment was kind of broken by having a terrible-looking tree fall down in front of me and clip through the ground.
What do you actually do in this game? Is it just randomly running around a sandbox city killing pedestrians until you get bored and turn it off?
