If I uninstall and reinstall realtek hd audio manager to reset all audio setting to default will this have any effect on audio for my installed games steam/non steam? Like I'm thinking of the situation where if there are some audio codex installed by installing the game and after uninstalling the the manager will get deleted which will won't come back after reinstalling.

Is there a way to reset everything to default without uninstalling?

Realtek HD Audio Manager is basically a sound card driver control panel. Uninstalling it won't uninstall any codecs.

Nope, they are totally unrelated. If anything, you'll have to pick the sound card again in the games' options / settings menus (but this is mostly done automatically by the games).

You can uninstall / reinstall without worrying, I do this constantly when updating to newer Realtek drivers.
Thanks guys sorry forgot to check question when creating the thread +1 instead.

Else if you have a 32-bit OS, get this: http://filehippo.com/download_realtek_high_definition_audio_vista/
