Thespian*: what activities or tasks ALWAYS will take you longer than expected?
Lately, making beer, but it always takes longer than I expect so I should start expecting it to take longer. Not sure if that would work.

In for Grimrock.

Not in, but thanks +1. I could go for The Chronicles of Riddick though in the future :-)
Cooking always takes me longer than expected. If a recipe says it'll take 30 minutes, then it'll probably take me at least 40 minutes.

I'm in for Legend of Grimrock, thanks :)
I'm in for Grimrock, thank you.

As for what tasks take me longer than expected - housework, finishing a game, studying for exams, etc.
First, thanks to you and the donors, ISC and Ian! I will be entering for Legend of Grimrock :D

Writing emails to anyway except perhaps my husband takes longer than I expected. I am not very good at expressing myself and worry about appearing blunt or cold, stupid, or inadvertently saying something I shouldn't, and having that recorded for all eternity ;)
I'll enter for Divine Divinity! Thanks for the giveaway!

Homework always takes longer than expected, but that is true with anything you don't want to do.

grimrock(mostly just for the sake of entering, don't expect to win)

1procrastination. that always ALWAYS takes a ton of time much longer than expected

2writing papers

3getting around to games on my to play list(which is why not actually expecting to win I still have a backlog)

4 chores
5getting to things on time. it always seems to take just long enough to make me late no matter how much time I leave
6 getting in the mindset to sit still and willingly allow without a fight medical professionals to steal blood from me for purposes they always seem to neglect to make clear .....well as late as 9 anyway. And same went for putting things into my blood... It just seemed suspicious how they never seem willing to give you a breakdown of the needle's contents and the nurse just says to stop being a baby you're practically a teenager
7 waking up
8 going to sleep
9 finishing editing posts with things i think of right after clicking post my message
10 thinking of a 10th thing

Writing emails always takes me longer than suspected.

I'm in for Legend of Grimrock (already own Divine Divinity).
BUMP
Divine Divinity would be divine, thank you.

Commute, as the goddamn buses are never on time, and people tend to buy tickets from the driver instead of a kiosk that's 5 meters away.
Thing that always takes me more time that i've expected is finishing a rpg. I always want to visit every location and do every quest.

I'm in for Grimlock

Thanks
Grimrock for me if I win!
As for procrastination, I'd choose mail/domain transfers. All that contact with both providers, changing DNS mx records and worrying about lost mail is getting on my nerves so nowadays i tend to take inordinate amount of time to complete these tasks :(

Please be sure to add the answers to this question, both of you, editing your respective posts, to enter the contest. ;)

I'll enter for Divine Divinity.

As for the activity, I've gotta say writing a paper. Nothing takes as long as that :-\
