mission force: cyberstorm and thief. the two most fun games i have ever played and never finished and i would like to know why they arent here. i really miss these games and i wish i had them again and this site seems like the best place to get them.

Well, they're not here because GOG doesn't have the rights to them. I'm not sure who holds the rights, but the games were published by Sierra Entertainment and Eidos Interactive, respectively. As far as I know, Sierra's owned by Activision and Eidos by Square Enix. So, it might be reasonable to guess that those are the companies that are "at fault" so to speak.
at fault? are they just being mean or something? those games (especially thief) would get a lot of sales here and sierra has not produced a game in how long? i hate world sometimes.

Sierra hasn't produced a game in ages because it hasn't existed for ages. All of it's old games are owned by Activision though.

I don't actually know who owns the rights. I just quicky googled the game names, checked some wikipedia articles and drew conclusions from there. There are a bunch of Activision games on GOG already, so they're probably not all that "mean" about things like this. Often times the whole "who owns the rights to what" thing is a real mess with old games (or so I've heard).

They (whoever they are) are not really being mean, just minding their business interests in the way they see fit. Or not sure who owns what and afraid they'll get sued.
so... we gotta petition activision to relinquish all those old games we know and love?

Or give them bucketloads of cash, or vote in the wanted list HERE and hope the two new publishers coming to Gog this year are the ones you want games from.

I'm guessing that's happened so many times already that they've built an automated system to ignore/scrap all those petitions.

Gog announced in it's spring video conference that 1 new publisher is coming here this summer, and possibly another one is being worked on, and the 1st one coming in summer is said to be bringing 20+ new games to go over this year.
