Would I sound churlish if I said that this is a two-minute joke stretched to ten minutes? The first few fights were funny.

That was time well spent! Brilliant idea.

The novelty does kinda start to wear off after the second fight. Though the ending gives it some fresh vigor if you stick it out. I'm still giving it an "awesome" vote.

There is actually a live action Street Fighter Game based on the movie with JCVD, much like mortal kombat and pit fighter.
You can watch a game play video here. That was probably the best thing that came from that movie.
