If you manually deleted files, you now have stuff that is named in the Registry but doesn't exist anymore on disk. This causes various fatal errors at startup.

Where did you get your Witcher 2? GOG, Steam, retail?

Did you install Windows without reformatting the disk?

What you may have to do, if you deleted any files by hand (rather than run the uninstaller), is delete the Registry entries and any remaining files by hand. Then you can reinstall as if the game were never installed. That should work with GOG and retail editions. But I doubt it will work with Steam.

Well, sorry that i didin't specify, but since it is GoG forum i was thinking that is obvious that the game comes from GoG ( well technicly, i buyed it in the Box, but later there was an option to add this game to GoG account so..). As from you messege, thank you for quick respionse.

I didn't delete any files other than instaler files, you, this file that are downloaded from gog, after i instaled the game i didn't see why they should stay, after all, it is 15 gb... Liek i mentione above, this is first time i got this situation, so i gueas i wasen't prepare..

I got 3 partions
C is sytem drive,
D and E for games and various stuff, i formated the C drive completly, and instaled Windows XP from the scratch, after that it was long way of reinstalling stuff, and now i got this. You it isint a big problem, i'm just lazy and i dont want to download the game again..
Now it makes sense to me. If you reformatted and reinstalled on C, but your games are installed to D or E, you now have game files but no Registry entries for them.

I think you have to delete the installation entirely (as in "GOG.com\The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition" and everything under it), then reinstall. You have to run the installer to make the registry entries and shortcuts.

Saving the GOG installer files (the .exe and .bin files you download) helps you avoid having to download them again. If you deleted them, you will have to redownload.
That is what i'm trying to avoid, but if it really nesecery,... Anyhow i'm very gratefull for you quick response.
You can try this http://en.thewitcher.com/support/w2/#q20 . Download and run the registry fix being sure and point it to your witcher 2 "installation" . It says Steam but it works for all versions .
