Are there known issues with the AMD Crimson Driver and the Witcher 2?

I get a freeze after playing for a while. The Screen goes dark, i see the desktop and then it goes back into the Game. Sometimes it completely crashes.

After quitting the Game and checking the Radeon Settings, the Driver Program crashes. The GPU Fan stays at max until i restart my PC.

Im using Windows 7 with the Driver Version 18.2.1.

The Game is updated and i also installed the dotnet hotfix.

The Witcher 2 is also the only Game im having Issues with.

What Card do you use? If you allready suspect that the card might be the problem...

Witcher 2 had problems with a number of AMD-Cards, Lags,Stutter, Crash...mostly(or only?) with amd crossfire if i remember right. As far as i know it had been solved with new Drivers several (5?) years ago.
There was a number of hotfixes and communitypatches to solve this problem but i dont kow if any of them workd.

The Gpu is a 390X.

i-7 2600k and 12 GB Ram if that is important. Any ideas?

If not im just going to deal with it.

The 390x is a crossfirecard so it might be the source of your Problems.
I don't use AMD anymore...so i don't now how to deal with it.
You could google for Witcher 2/Corssfire bug or Witcher 2/Crossfire-hotfix.

Aside from this, i have no idea how to help you
