So I preordered the game way back when. (74 days ago.)

I pre-downloaded the content some days ago.

The download didn't continue. I figured, it's the 18th now, I wonder if the downloader is buggy. I quit the application and open it up again. It asks me to log in.

I cannot log in. I change my password, and I still cannot log in.

Is anyone else experiencing difficulty with the downloader? Now I won't get to play it because it's past midnight here now, and I've got work in the mornin', so I'll have to wait another 18 hours :-(

Hopefully someone will have a great suggestion for me when I wake up.

Help, I pre-ordered the game but have no idea how to download it. My account does not show that I have it. The downloader only has the games I got free when I ordered. How do I get it???

Did you also pay for it? Just preordering wasn't enough.

This question is for the both of you. Did you pre-order, then pay for the game once it became available or did you just pre-order and think that you had already paid for it once you pre-ordered it?

As for the downloader issue, I am afraid I cannot help, as once I purchased the game, I was able to download with no problems at all

What Voodoo said, also I had problems with the GOG downloader, but downloading the browser chunks worked perfectly...

The OP must have paid, since you couldn't pre-load the files without paying for it.

I think there's a problem with the downloader right now as in it doesn't play nice with passwords with characters that aren't letters or numbers in it, so try to change you password to something with just numbers and letters for the time being.

If that doesn't work, download the game using your web browser.

Yea I had a little trouble too I think they updated the installer I had to reboot my system and then try again.. I also had moved my files from c: drive to d: cause that wasn't very clear either.. Some of the problem I think was Win7 and its permission system on my end.

Look at it this way by the time you get it running all these problems peeps are having will be mostly resolved!! I bet Hans Christian Anderson had problems with his publisher too...(had to get that one in) From one Great Dane to another ;)

Thanks, everyone. I did not pay so I have done so and downloaded. Unfortunately, I used the downloader before I saw your posts, so after waiting for it to download I can't install. Damn, so now I'll go back and see if I can download using my browser. What a bummer.

I think it was on a time-delay. Why I should be on hold for some reason, I'll never know.

I re-started the download this morning and it didn't even ask for my credentials - just started.

That was proper annoying, but a good way to start the day at least. (even before I've had my coffee!)

@ the C:\ drive suggestion; I never - ever - install anything on the C:\ drive that is games-related, that's just begging for trouble. I've got a separate drive for that entirely.

Regarding changing the password to an in-secure one: I shall NEVER! Letters, numbers, special characters - entirely randomly generated and fairly long for me.
Can you imagine the horror of a brute-forced GOG account? :o)

At any rate, I shall be looking forward to playing after work today - oh yes. The Viking Witcher is back in town, baby!

Why not what? Why can't I use the installer? Well I clicked on it several times and nothing happened. Stopped it and restarted and still it just sat there. Finally, I just went to where things were downloaded and launced setup.exe manually and got it installed. Its working but I need to work on my frame rate. Don't have the best GPU.

I got the same deal, had to run the installer manually. :/
