So... before I go searching everywhere... while I was able to find my steel sword right away my silver sword is nowhere to be found... is it gone for good? Do I have to go craft a new one?

...sigh... I hate losing swords. Especially silver ones.

I guess the question is how did you loos it. I do not remember getting my gear taken away in Chap 2. Did you accidentaly sell it or drop it? A few more specifics might help.

Assuming you mean after the whole almost-executed bit?

I seem to remember it being inside a nearby chest.

EDIT: Thinking back, it might just have gone into your inventory. That's the more likely one.

See... Geralt finds his prized poisoned sword in the grass... somehow.. and then looking around the camp I can't find my silver sword... I figure: in the tent where we had our 'discussion' or on one of the dead guards"... then: "Oh, there's a chest, it's gotta be in there!" But all I find is a rusty dagger and something else I don't remember....

lo and behold... checking just now it is actually in my inventory... duh...

Hey, it's not an unreasonable assumption.

I lost a sword after the Letho fight at the bath 'cos I didn't think the cutscene would actually make me drop the sword on the floor.

I panicked at that point too, then I found it in my inventory. I was sure since Roche actually gave me time to look around the camp, I was supposed to find my stuff somewhere to get it back. :)

Well I always search the surroundings for loots. At first I was like "sweet, 2 new swords!" then I realized one of them is mine...

Yeah, sometimes they do end up in Inventory. I damned near sold a great sword because of that, when I was trying to clear some inventory.
