Is it possible to play the Witcher 2 with the PS4 controller without downloading third party software? It seems to work fine with a Xbox 360 controller, but I'm not a fan of that controller. I've had no problems using the Ps4 controller in other games but that has been through Steam.

Same question here... I only have playstation controllers (3 and 4) I can used the ps4 controller on the witcher 3 no problem, but witcher 2 doesn't seem to recognize it I can only play with mouse and keyboard :s I also tried with the dualshock 3 it does not work either.

You can use DS4Windows app but interface will be for Xbox controler.

Many games are designed for keyboard control. Generally because there is so much complex interaction.

All the Witcher games are like this.

Witcher one was playable with mouse ONLY, that's what I hoped Witcher 2 would be either - or at least with my controller. But I have the same problem: my PS4-Mini Controller does not work at all - I cannot choose between keyboard and controller...
