So whats with the stutter when riding the horse? I get no stutter when sprinting with the horse or just walking/running on foot. Anyone else here have similar issues? Ive tried all kinds of variations of settings including turning down everything to low and still have the same stutter.

if your fps is above 30 you will get odd movement issues in this game.
again, guys, close the gog launcher and launch the game from the .exe in the bin folder, gonna solve all your problems.
Bah! I tried both. Still have the stutter when riding the horse slow. Looks like im going to have to sprint everywhere in the game then.
Patch didnt fix it. This is still a problem. Anyone else here with the same issue? I know over at cdpr fourms there a lot of guys with this and other stuttering issues across all platforms.

Hard to see in the video but i have the exact same issue you are on about its worse in game vid capture does not capture it as bad ...it seems it could be the horse animation for sure ...its extremely annoying and is a spoil for the game for me ..i have tried many many setting no avail definitely game based horse animation problem ...lets hope they fix this as i also like to trot around slow admiring the environment....otherwise this really does spoil it ...Please fix CD Project Pretty Please....

Tested on 4 other pc's and PS4 same issue
i have the same issue, slow riding on horse stutters, time between stutters is always the same
No improvement whatsoever with patch 1.04. Youd think this would be a simple problem to fix.
Same thing here. It's definitely an issue with the walking animation, which is poorly looped. It has nothing to do with performance, so until CD Projekt fixes it in a patch we'll just have to deal with it, unfortunately.

Weird becasue my Płotka does not stutter at all. Maybe your horse is sick? Anyhow, I hope they will fix your Płotkas soon guys!
I have the same issue and so do others I've discussed this with. I first started W3 on PS4. Looked great but framerates just weren't there for me and at first I thought the horse stutter was apart of the console's 30fps lock. When I got W3, I can play it almost maxed with butter smooth frames(except for hairworks) and the horse stutter was still there. Everything else around in the scene plays smooth.

I too believe its an animation issue that they need to clean up and make more fluid. If you actually just stop and watch other npcs on horseback walking they have the same exact hitch in their gitty up literally lol.

I would think something like an animation would be something they could address and fix in a patch. Its a great game and I can live with it but truth be told, its very distracting to me. Poor Roach is wondering why I do most of my traveling by foot.

I hope the devs will look into this for their customers. Seems like a small detail but knowing that the world is meant to be traveled largely by your trusty steed it would make a huge difference for that immersion. Red Dead Redemption proved that horse gates could be modeled in great detail. Please fix this Project Red. I love your game. I'd rather a fixed horse than a free dlc.

Agreed. Ive pretty much refused to play the game until they fix this issue. Its too beautiful to be stuttering along. What worries me though is that from what ive seen with past games from different developers is stuttering of any sort is rarely even acknowledged by the devs much less fixed.
we are now at patch v1.04 and that issue is not yet fixed!!

At patch 1.07 and still not fixed. Everything runs so smooth for me at 60fps all max and ultra (hairworks too). No issues at all. Except when I just use the horse with the directional stick without holding any buttons (slow trot). If I hold the directional stick (without holding any other buttons) there is slight stutter every few steps. Once I hold A or begin to sprint the stutter is gone. It's only when slowly trotting while only holding the directional stick. PLEASE FIX!!!
