I'm in the process of downloading the game files and DLC's from GOG.com.
When I'm finished should I just install the Game and Play or should I also install the Patch (1.08 )
Seems like there are issues with the Patch.

Just keep all files and install the game and patch 1.08. If you have problems deinstall all and install the game without the patch again.
Also keep in mind that some of the newer DLCs need patch 1.07 or higher.
