Add "Download all DLCs" button
An interim step can be to just let me click on all of them without waiting for each one do DL and install.
Stellaris DLC for example, are all tiny, yet is obnoxious to install.
I prefer Steam's way of doing things. A list of DLCs that all have checkmarks automatically, but you can disable them freely and then click to install the game, leaving out anything unchecked, but this is a good solution as well.
This is just ridiculous that this hasn't been tackled! Likewise Pillars of Eternity 2 with it's now extensive DLC list takes forever!
oh god yes, we need this !!
Please, fix the way Galaxy deals with DLC. It just took more than 20 minutes for me to install 5 pieces of DLC (30MB in total!) for the Fig Premium Edition of Pillars of Eternity 2. This is not OK when installing 30MB worth of DLC takes more than 20 minutes.
It's still very unintuitive how it's done right now in the Galaxy even with the one package.
After last patch (5th April 2016) I lost all the DLCs in the game. I read the forums where ppl said I need to redownload them again. I knew I have to click "MORE > DOWNLOAD EXTRAS" and look for the DLCs over there. We have two columns. Left column has a chapter bellow "DLCS INSTALLERS". I clicked the second position under this (with size 523 MB) because I believed this is the DLCs package. Again - I believe - because it has long name and it's shorten like this "WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE ... 1.12" - exacly same short name as position above which I believe is "Heart of Stone" expansion because it has size of 4GB. Unfortunatelly it didn't help to simply redownload it this way. To get them working I had to click "MORE" button once more and choose "CONFIGURE" and tick the option "FREE DLC PROGRAM (16 DLC)". After that it was ready to go but you see it's a bit tricky. I believe all DLCs should be separated from the "EXTRAS". Maybe another option in "MORE" button - "DOWNLOAD EXPANSIONS & DLCs" (above "DOWNLOAD EXTRAS") and there should be installers as well as that section "DLCS INSTALLED" (moved from "Configure") on the same page? Or maybe another big visible button linking to the DLCs page and all options relating to this. I hope I made myself clear. ;)
I don't have Witcher 3 so can't comment on that, but normally isnt it preferable to install all DLC with game? Steam automatically installs all owned DLC when you install the main game. I actually assumed this is what would happen with GOG too. Would seem to be the sensible way to do it to me, save everyone a lot of hassle. There could be a box to uncheck if you really don't want the DLC but I cant see why that would be that case.
Witcher games are painful in this area, GOG needs to get on this.
Please add a possibility to download all the DLC at one. I HATE wait till last one was downloaded. Also If you Could make it bit more visible from a library.
And why does every single checkbox grey out (until one item finishes downloading)? This is such a pain!
Agreed, installing all of The Witcher 3's DLC one by one was painful :(
I think changing how DLC is installed/uninstalled would be better and fix this issue. Steam just has a list with a checkbox and you check that if you want it installed or not. We don't need a confirmation dialog box (iirc, can't check right now) for DLC. We aren't doing some long un-cancel-able or irreversible process.
