High DPI Scaling completed
With version 1.1.2 ("Better HiDPI support) and up to the current one (1.1.5) I'm not even sure if this has been implemented or if there is a manual scaler or something.
Font size is still too uncomfortably small, esepcially in the community forum sections.
I like using the client but I can't use it for the community features or do any kind of reading comfortably.
I find the blurriness from GOG galaxy was there but it was Windows 10's fault and this discussion and tool on reddit helped: www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3fedsq/a_simple_solution_for_blurry_fonts_in_windows_10/
For me I am using a 4k 28 inch display with windows scaling set to 150% using windows 10, the GoG client itself is working but it isn't sharp at all. everything is blurry and feels like an application made on the fly to test things rather than an application made by a company to rival/as an alternative to steam.
With high DPI monitors I seriously expected this to be already implemented but i guess i was wrong.
Everything has the right size now, but now it does not scale or adjust to the client's window size anymore.
It looks almost proper. The only issue now are modal windows being way too small on initial creation (e.g. Friends list, chat window) on high-dpi screens
This can be marked as completed. Looks just like it should on my monitor.
The new update looks great so far! Everything is now very readable on my Surface Pro 3.
... still a problem, come on guys, tell us which open source library you are using for a "portable" GUI and maybe one of us developers can come up with a fix!
That or write it for Windows native...
I have the same issue with the website that has fonts specified in pixels. Come on guys.

I have to squint to read text on GOG client. This is bad for the eyes.
My screen's native resolution is 3840x2160... Galaxy is Sooooo small (except for the options screen which does scale)...
I use my 10.6" Surface Pro for all my computing and games. Most software is scalable. The programs that don't scale feel old-fashioned and unaware. Some text on Galaxy is beyond small - it's minuscule. Ignore the vote count and fix this because it is the right thing to do.
So much this!
what trae said ;)
Yep! Just came to request the same thing, Galaxy gives no benefit over just using the site for me unless this gets fixed.
Yep, it's usable on my Surface Pro 3, but only because I have good eyesight and a steady hand. It really needs scaling.
Automatic DPI-aware client isn't the solution, it *has* to be something users can adjust themselves. There are small screens with high DPI, large screens with low DPI, small screens with low DPI and large screens with large DPI. And then there are users who all look at their screens from different distances and who all have different preferences and eyesight. *Customizable* UI scaling is the only reasonable solution.
Even on large screens this is a big problem. Text is virtually unreadable on my 55" 4K Samsung TV, and two thirds of the screen is just an empty grey background.
It seems to be only the Windows version with this problem too. It looks fine on an OSX in HiDPI mode.
I agree scaling is definitely needed, I use a wall mounted tv as a monitor and cant read any of the gog galaxy text from across the room. When I get the 4k tv I might need to mount the screen to my face to read the text.
Same here, totally unusable on my 3200x1800 screen
Agreed, unpleasant even at 1440p.
Have 4K Monitor and this is sooo tiny. Steam at least will pixel double, its not pretty, but still better than nothing. Please support, thanks!
i need this now. can barely use the client on my laptop (2880x1800).
Yep. 15.6" display with 3840x2160 resolution (282 PPI). This needs to be a top priority. 4K is not only the future, it's already here!
Agreed. I'm running at 3840 x 2160 on a 15.6" laptop. It's a gorgeous monitor. It's painful using apps that don't scale and GOG is one of them.
Yes please. The interface is virtually unusable at 3200x1800 on a 15" laptop monitor without at least scaling, and at best a HiDPI interface.
I only have 1080p and want to maintain it for now, but given the way tech is going, there's little excuse for UI design to not be aware of high DPI needs. Voted.
Ditto. I have a 3200x1800 resolution on my laptop, and the font is way too small. Even selecting "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" under compatibility doesn't work. Would be nice to enable scaling in the app.
