Alexander_D I can't find any mention of this anywhere so I don't believe this to be a feature yet. I'd like to be able to take screenshots in-game using a custom-bound key, and have them save to a user-specified folder. Steam, Origin, and UPlay all do this, and I think others will agree that it is an extremely desirable feature.

Destroy666 Wake up. It's 2022. No rebindable keys for important shortcuts like screenshots or overlay is a ridiculous thing. Hire a student and he'll implement that in few days max
Jepetix Hi, i found a solution to Disable it by changing the permissions of the folder where screenshots are saved. You can deny writing permission for the specific folder in my case: C:\Users\%User\Documents\GOG Galaxy\Screenshots\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY

TheGrayGentlemen In 1.2.10 all I get are black PNGs. Being able to take screenshots, and change the directory and hot key (and format would be nice) for me is a must have. It may be taboo, but anyone interested can launch their GOG games through steam as a non-steam game to use its screenshot option.
CountDuckula Galaxy 1.2.6 and I still only get a blank/empty png file from any game I try (eg yooka laylee, full throttle remaster, thimbleweed park)

Lantea This is needed ASAP; I have F12 set as a wifi button that can't be changed in system, so I can't use it to take screenshot because each time it toggles my wifi.
Fix it so we can choose which key is used to take screenshots.

Qhuenta Screenshots with Steam is relatively painless, but not amazing. Come on GOG, get on this! You could even add some useful features Steam doesn't have while you at it!
thomq But macOS has always (well, several several years at least) had a system-wide screenshot keyboard shortcut, customizable even. Well, it always saved to the Desktop, that hasn't seemed customizable . The keybinding is customized in System Preferences. Doesn't that already work? I mean, doesn't it work when playing games with Galaxy 1.2? (still have 1.30)
alex.m197 I'm a little disappointed that this has not been implemented yet. Gamers are missing out on capturing the scenery which has them stopped playing to appreciate the view.

c0hen I could work around this in Witcher as lightscreen is simple to use and worked. Alas, No Man's Sky screenshots with lightscreen are black. So the only way for me to take screenshots in No Man's Sky is to use Steam instead of GOG Galaxy. This is my nr 1 wish at the moment.
crazyant I just want to take a screen shots of the ships I have had, so i can laugh at how I managed with only a 22 slot ship for so long, and some of the amazing scenery , colours and lifeforms. Tied FN +Print Sceen and windows key and of course and I end up with some other screen shot I dont remeber taking its odd and frustrating,, And as with everyone else here Please Give Us a Button or Two or ComBo, Just something that works.
Ctrl+Print Scr and paste in Windows Paint ... thats all
cold.fire I am extremely disappointed that neither Hello Games OR GoG have a way to easily take screenshots as of this moment. How is that even possible?? With a game that looks like this it should have been the FIRST thing on people's minds when it comes to necessary features. Please please PLEASE make this happen ASAP!!!

Durango @DANEEL53 The things is, Ansel is (i) not out yet indeed, and (ii) works only with a few compatible game, not every game in your library. For now, if you subscribe to the beta program of "Share" (formerly Shadowplay), there's a simple screenshot tool but it's not really good and don't have the sweet resolution promised by Nvidia for Ansel.
For MSI aftgerburner, it works decently but it's not really better than Nvidia Share and might have a higher FPS impact for people playing on toaster. In general, the less third-party software you need, the better it is, so having the tool included in GoG would be sweet.
daneel53 Instead of going to Steam just to take pictures, why don't you just use MSI Afterburner that can take perfect pictures with one key (F10 ou F12 for example) while displaying FPS and many other useful parameters ?
And for Nvidia users, now you have Ansel that is a snapshot dream becoming real.
skeletonbow Screenshots, FPS counters and other stuff that would show up on-screen or access a game's framebuffer is all part of the overlay functionality GOG is hard at work on. The screenshot feature is not present yet but the overlay is a WIP and coming soon.
Togala GOG, how can we help you make this a thing? Because this needs to be a thing. Hell, we should all have buttons to record video too. I have so many buttons, GOG. SO MANY BUTTONS. Just make at least one of them more useful. Thank you!
koenlefever Really struggling with to take pictures in No Man's Sky, having unreliable results now by cumbersome procedures which makes it effectively impossible to get good shots from a game which seems to have exactly that as a reason for existing.
A GoG Galaxy screenshot button would be handy for any game but for this one it is a necessity.

Mjone77 I can't think of anything else that is lacking that should be added before screenshots, this is a super important feature when you have beautiful games like the witcher and no mans sky in your catalog.

FairyZombie This is the most desirable feature for me. I can't believ that there's been more than a year now since GOG announced GOG Galaxy but there's still no such a totally basic function like this. Many of screensavers just don't work with most if not all my games in GOG no matter what. Please make it happen, we need this function so bad! I just love to capture the moment in game be it something funny goin on or just a beatiful moment or something. I think, everyone can relate to that. Please, make this function happen!
