Bring SEGA PC games to GOG.com completed
Sonic Heroes (a man could dream)
+1 for Virtua Tennis as well, i played the hell out of it when i was a little boy
+1 for Virtua Tennis! :D
If they ever bring Sega here, i'll leave steam, for real
would love the yakuza series or sonic games to be on here
Bring The Cave Please, an underrated platform masterpiece from Ron Gilbert!
I WOULD LOVE DRM free total war games.
Virtua Tennis for GOG
maybe devs are starting to realise how cancerous drm can be or maybe not i hope they remove drm from there older games, so many classics could come here
Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi and Shenmue DRM-FREE on GOG would be awesome !
Sega has begun stripping Denuvo from their games and even released games without Denuvo's inclusion altogether. The GOG team should try reaching out to them and see if they'd be interested in putting their games up here.
It's actually a bit worse than Mister6ame said. Not only do they use Denuvo's DRM, they do it INCOMPETENTLY. Apparently Denuvo trusts it's customers not to set it's DRM to phone home six hundred times a second, which is just silly. I mean, bigger numbers are always better and those sliders need to be all the way to the right, right? It's not like it's SEGA's hardware that had to deal with it so who cares?
Yeah, too bad we're not seeing Yakuza coming to GOG most likely
SEGA uses Denuvo in all their games these days unfortunately this will not happen sad I really wanted Yakuza, Total War, Sonic in GOG.
If you are looking for a closer to DRM option, Sega Genesis Classics Collection Gold can be picked up used on Amazon or eBay. There is a NoCD crack allowing for the game to run without the CD. I ripped a personal copy to keep the full installer on my laptop with no disk drive. About as close as one can get until Sega either changes or folds.
Hate to rain on the sonic love parade for everyone: but I've got some SUPER bad news: SEGA are basicaly Public Enemy #1 for all us GOG people: they are the top industry ADVOCATES of DRM right now. They are the whole reason that GOG doesn't have the entire Dawn of War franchise on offer, among other things, so yeah, hate to have to harsh the vibe, but SEGA games? Dont hold your breath. (Makeing them hold theirs though, as in they can start breathing again once they sign away their rights to use DRM...)
I would love a better working version of Sonic 3d blast.. the pc/saturn version with the better soundtrack though.. the steam/genesis port is MEH..
yessss,virtua tennis,virtua fighter,shenmue,jet set radio,sonic...
I've played many Sega games in my old Mega Drive back in the day... The Sonic series, Comix Zone, The Ooze... Can't wait to buy these games again on GOG!
I've only played a demo version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles as i child and never got an opportunity to get a full version, so yeah - all my thumbs up for this!
I only want to see this if GOG makes sure all Sega games espeically Sonic ones are working properly. An while back I bought Sonic Games Collection for almost thirty bucks. Some newer games doesn't work that well in the controls. Sonic Adventure DX doesn't fully work due to graphics card issue. Thankfully most of it works just fine. I could love it if you could do justice with that series.
Only pc versions please.
Just an FYI: Most of SEGA's trash on steam aren't pc games.. they are rom dumps being run by the worst emulator I've ever run.
You can pick from DRM or data mining when SEGA comes to GOG. No exceptions.
I heavily doubt they'd treat GOG any better than they did Humble. Plus the classics thing relies on Steam Workshop nowadays (of course, just patching the ROM does the same thing).
Yes! I loved Bug! as a kid and would love to see it and its sequel (Bug Too!, which I never got to play) here. Besides the other SEGA games people are hoping for (like the Sonic games, Virtua Fighter, etc.), I would also like to see Garfield: Caught in the Act. The PC version is the definitive version; it has the best soundtrack and an exclusive level.
I'd like that. But don't forget about Linux support. Which would be the real kicker for me.
I really miss Sega games on GOG. They've got plenty of classics, which were released on PC back in 90' and first decade of "2000" (fortunately, they had far less "prejudiced" attitude towards PCs than other japanese companies) and which definitelly should be on GOG. I think that it wouldn't be exaggeration, that (almost) everyone of us had at least one favourite classic title/series from Sega - Virtua Fighter, House of the Dead, Sonic, Crazy Taxi... What is more - plenty of titles were never re-relased in electronic distribution (like Windows/Saturn version of Virtua Fighter and Virtua Fighter 2, House of the Dead/House of the Dead 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders... And I love fact that GOG brought back to live (recently) many classic games from various developers. It's time for SEGA!
Yes please bring all the old Sonic games to GOG! I grew up on Sonic 3 & Knuckles and would absolutely love to play them again without purchasing through Steam.
I'd wish for OutRun 2006 Coast to Coast, then Crazy Taxi 3. OR2006 might not be feasible with the Ferrari license issue, but it's a wishlist. Virtual On was a good one too, I remember it ran just fine on my Celeron PC in college. Sega Rally 2 was a good one too, better than the Dreamcast version with higher res graphics and more stable frame rate.
SEGA needs to be on GOG asap! Lot's of good gems released on PC back in the day including; Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg, Bug!, Crazy Taxi 1 & 3, Daytona USA, ECCO The Dolphin, Enemy Zero, Last Bronx, Panzer Dragoon, OutRun 2006, Sega Rally Championship, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic CD, Sonic Heroes, Sonic R, The House of the Dead 1-3, The Typing of the Dead, Virtua Fighter 1 &2, Virtua Squad 1&2, Virtua Tennis, Virtua Squad 1 &2.
I would be most interested in Crazy Taxi 3, ECCO, Enemy Zero, Panzer Dragoon, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Heroes, Sonic R, any of the House/Typing of the Dead game(s), Virtua Fighter 2, and I'd TOTALLY be down for a Virtua Tennis! C'mon Sega and GOG!
One more thing, most importantly, pleeeaase bring this game with the music working and everything!! It's completely boring with no music. -.-
Virtua Fighter PC (and no, do not bring VF2 first). THANKS!
SEGA Rally Championship.
I'm with you on Billy Hatcher ChloeWolfiegirl. I never got to play it myself (I watched my little brother play it and I was intrigued but never got around to it). Alpha Protocol and Binary Domain would be amazing to play on GOG plus every other SEGA game that was released on PC and perhaps future ports of semi older or older games from their library. If Yakuza ever comes to PC, I will be one happy son of a bitch :D
with Linux support would be awesome as well, I wanted to buy the sonic games on steam but with no Linux support whats a girl to do?
I'd love to see the Sonic series on Linux, and alot of there dreamcast, saturn games etc, imagine, Phantasy Star online from the dreamcast, with no updates but for Windows, Linux and Mac with no DRM and with the ability to go to any open server that many people could create!
Billy hatcher would be great to!
Sega still makes PC games its just they seem to mainly stick to there own on there website, with only windows support and probably with DRM!
I remember Sega being eager to make PC-ports of their, since they pretty much wanted eceryone to be ablee to play games they both developed and published.
"D"-series with an actual port of "D2" would be really awesome. And rest of the Panzer Dragoon & Virtua-games over at GOG.com be super great, just to namedrop few titles.
Good point nate1222. Here's hoping that GOG.com can pick up some Sega classics!... Although I wouldn't consider GamersGate to be truly DRM-Free. I mean they sort of are, but you have to have an internet connection to install the games no matter what. The beauty of GOG.com is that you can download the game installer and keep it for offline installs that don't require the internet later on. That is truly DRM-free to me. Long live GOG.com!
GamersGate and DotEmu both have DRM-free games from Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Hell, GamersGate recently got a few DRM-free versions of Dreamcast games. So why not GOG?
We need a twitter and blog campaign...
Sega's Panzer Dragoon Series is the highest on my "PC wishlist". We've all been waiting far too long for those amazing games to be released on PC... whether it be on Steam or GOG.com, I just want those games! (preferably on GOG.com)
Basically every Sega game that has been released on Steam should be available on GOG.com... Come on Sega! Not to mention all the Sega Saturn games that were once available on PC back in the day should be released on GOG.com. I loved those Sega Saturn games but was never able to purchase the PC versions back then as I was just a kid with no money. I would love to buy any and every game that Sega releases on GOG.com!
If I remember correctly, Earthworm Jim for Windows 95 was released through Sega PC(And not only that, but that version of EWJ works perfectly if you copy the files to your computer, update the Wail DLL(Google it), and run the game from WORM.EXE with either the disc in the drive, or if you use some kind of no-CD hack).
Also, the Sega PC version of Sonic CD would be unlikely, because of that recent Sonic CD remake. Although, if GoG released a "Double" version of the game that lets you download the original Sega PC version(Hopefully in multiple languages), and the recent remake, that would be great. :D
Would love to see Sonic CD, Total War series (SHOGUN 1), Jet Set Radio, and most of all Panzer Dragoon!

Love to see the Virtua Cop or the House of the Dead series as well. Sonic 3D, three little dwarfs. All the old good SEGA games, when SEGA was cool.
@Nanoloque: And Sonic Heroes, eh?
Good idea ! GOG.com users have to play Alpha Protocol !
@Retrostage: Yeah, I had trouble getting the lag off the CD version of SEGA RALLY ^^' I bet THAT would be one of the very first ones for GOG.
@DRM_free_fan: I mentioned both classic (like Sonic CD, of course, for example etc.) AND recent (like Total War series etc.), you know. And oh, you wouldn't go wrong if one of the classic or modern ones would be free to concede with the "Welcome to GOG.com" line-up of SEGA games.
