This game is above and beyond one of my truest loves in both of my worlds of music-adoration, and playing games. Just an allure that cannot be described with simple words - An ape with a birthday for each day of the year, charm out the wazoo and incredible pieces that just make you wanna sit on the beach and soak it all in!

One of the best, yet underappreciated (at the time) collectathon platformers that's stuck on a console from 25 years ago. At the time, I only knew about Ape Escape 1, 2 and EyeToy Monkey Mania, and didn't realise that there was a 3rd one until Astro Bot PS5 properly reintroduced me to the series. The music is fantastic, Satoru (Kei) and Sayaka (Yumi)'s transformations are fun to use and the level designs are great. My only complaint is, when running on the PS2, the frame rate is all over the place often running lower than even 30 fps which can affect the music at its worst. If this game ever gets a rerelease, letting us choose between the European/ UK and US versions would be nice (Like the Ape Escape 1 rerelease on PS4/5) as there are a ton of differences, mainly with the Dubbing, character names and the secret Ratchet and Clank-themed monkey that only appears on the European and Japanese versions.
Ape escape 3 is the perfect example of a perfect game to me. The gameplay is perfect The writing is perfect The levels are perfect The minigames (or at least the Metal gear crossover minigame) are perfect. I hope Ape escape 3 and the rest of the series can come to modern platfroms one day.
Of course the best entry in the series is also the only one that you can't easily play on modern systems, another of life's little challenges. Perfect music, great art design and level variation, (annoying main characters, hey you can't win 'em all), and a nice solid mix of gadgets and powers to keep gameplay from getting too stale. Thanks to it's good stylisation the game would only need a little bit of polishing to bring it up to speed with games that are being released today. Main requests would be an easy built-in way to switch between the UK/US language dubs (maybe even a bit more precise option switching, the VAs in the UK version aren't my favourite but a lot of the ape names and puns are stronger) and a smoother FPS during the more graphically intensive scenes.
Please, for the love of all that is holy and banana. PLEASE. I just want to be able to play ape escape again!! maybe if we give it enough love sony execs will notice and give us what we want with a new game
Those games also need your vote!
