Blue Submarine No. 6 has a very odd history. For starters, the original manga came out around the 60's and from what I can find (I can't find it) but the story was adapted and a new manga and anime where put out, this game is for that anime, but it doesn't follow it directly. There are fully animated scenes from this game that never made it into the anime as well tell the story of more characters witch really fleshes this whole world out. Just like the original 60's print (if you know where it is please tell me) I wish for this game to reach more people, especially those who can't read Japanese and recover some of the BS6 story that was lost on the PS2.

The player follows the story through a heavily influenced comic book approach, and can decide to play towards a good or evil paths with Cole's powers. Xenosaga I & IIXenosaga I & II is a combined remake and retelling of Xenosaga Episode 1 and 2 redesigned for the Nintendo DS. The story changes were handled by the creator of the series.
The game changes large parts of the storyline in Episode 1 while following the elements established in the original game. This includes adding new characters and changing how some scenarios play out.
Changes in Episode 2 were much larger as the main character perspective of the game was switched from Jr. to Shion to match up with Episode 1 and 3. Some characters are removed from the story or have their fates changed or revealed. Some dungeons are removed, edited, or replaced.
