Genres:Shooter
Themes:Action
Story:A side-scrolling action game based on the manga and anime of the same name, concerning the private eye Ryo Saeba. City Hunter is a side-scrolling action game exclusive to the PC Engine. The player controls Ryo Saeba, the eponymous "City Hunter" private eye who often takes assignments from attractive female clients. Despite his lechery, he's a highly competent gunman and very sharp when reading people. The game is built similarly to Impossible Mission: Ryo explores buildings, checking doors for mission-critical NPCs and items while shooting the enemy thugs that attack him while investigating. It contains four stages, or "chapters", and appearances from various characters from the franchise like Ryo's partner Kaori Makimura, his rival Umibozu and his police contact Seiko Nogami.Show more

Manhunt
ManhuntManhunt is a third-person stealth horror game. The game consists of twenty levels, and four bonus levels that can be unlocked; the levels are referred to as "scenes". Players survive the Scenes by dispatching enemy gang members known as "Hunters", occasionally with firearms but primarily by stealthily executing them in gruesome, over-the-top ways. The player is rated at the end of each level, primarily dependent on the gruesomeness of the killings and the speed of completion, from one (unimpressive) to five (extremely competent) stars. Executions are preferred in order to gain a higher score, thus encouraging players to play as viscerally as possible. The game's locales are full of "dark spots" and shadows where the player can hide while being chased by the Hunters; hiding in these dark areas makes the player invisible to opponents.

The Alpha group consists of the player and Boomer, while the remaining two make up Bravo. Commands can be issued to both individuals and a whole group, for example it is possible to ask team Bravo to remain stationary while the player is scouting the area with Boomer. However the player can not venture alone through a map, when Kahuna is too far away from Boomer he will automatically resume following the player, regardless of prior orders.
