Fire Power has a simple concept, capture the enemies flag and bring it to your base with your tank but it's extremely well executed for its time. You chip away the enemies defences to get closer to your target while being harassed by enemy choppers. The game was also quite violent for its time as you could overrun soldiers. This game is best remembered for it's head to head capabilities either via splitscreen, serial link or even remotely with a modem.
It was later remade as the 'Return Fire' franchise, while good games they changed the gameplay somewhat and I don't think it was all for the better. Like now you needed the jeep to carry the flag, which took away a lot of the immediacy of the original game.
