This was the free game I got when I bought the original XBOX. I still have better memories of this game than I have any of the more "modern" mech-type games. It didn't bog you down with stats, menus, or other "fluff" just grab your mech and start blowing stuff up.
This game and its sequel are what made me fall in love with mechs and rock music. They're not the best remembered of the franchise but being the Goliath in the David vs Goliath fight is a big draw to me for the Mech genre and they service this with aplomb.

Mechassault 1 and 2 are great single player and multiplayer experiences. From the sound effects to the voice lines to the pure chaos of mech explosions! To this day the Mechassault Reborn Discord plays these two games every weekend! To see it persevere on GoG despite it's larger community all but forgetting it would cement it's status where it belongs and bring in even more players.
I played this game a a kid way back in the early 2000's and it was my first introduction to video games as a medium. I currently am part of Mechassault Reborn, a group that still gets together and plays this game on weekly game nights with mods. Releasing this game for native PC would allow us to finally no longer have to worry about limited copies of Mechassault that are available, and allow modding the game to be so much easier than it is. If this gets ported to PC it will allow our small commnuity to finnaly thrive and get new players set up again.

This game was hands down my favourite classic Xbox game (Halo:CE is a close second), this game took the little embers of a mech fan in me from Iron Soldier 3 and turned them into a flame. The raw power fantasy, even the camera angle and scope made the world feel so small and stompable, and all the weapons were so powerful, with everything except other mechs falling in a salvo or two. I remember wading through rivers chasing down convoys of ships, swatting helicopters out the sky with missiles and machine guns, mowing down entire squads of tanks with autocannons and lasers, and all the squishy infantry that pop into little red clouds when you stomp through entire platoons of them. This game is such a precious memory of mine, and I would love to see it reach PC through GOG.

I love this game and its sequel. Sadly it is nearly impossible to play them nowadays. I would love to have the chance to experience those games of my childhood. The music, the gameplay and the mechs are awesome.
This game for me was such an adventure and almost like an Awakening towards loving the mech shooter genre. There's something about going into a campaign and living the story of the Mech warrior through the lense of one of the last in your faction. Trying to scavenge and do what you can for your fellow comrades. Whether it be coming across other Mechs on the level or doing a scouting mission it moves the story in a way that me as a teenage kid on the Xbox was something I'll always remember. It would be a treasure to have this on the PC, just a direct port nothing changed.

This is probably my contender for #1 most replayable Xbox game right next to Halo 1 and 2, I would definitely love to see this game again but on a more accessible platform compared to having to buy an original xbox and make sure the capacitors are working and everything else

This is the game that convinced my dad to get an Xbox all of those years ago and in turn introduced me to the legacy of legendary games from the Xbox and its successor the 360. This game needs to be shown to newer audiences.
Man to see this game be brought back would be a blast! Was born in 1998 so Big Ass TV with the back and VCR's were a thing. Never had internet until I was 16 so having this game along with my xbox original was fun and kept me entertained along with other games. Honestly hope that this game and Mechassault 2 gets released again for GOG or Steam.
Those games also need your vote!
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the follow up to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. It is the first prequel in the series, taking the series to the year 1964. The player takes the role as the series' original antagonist, Big Boss, then known as Naked Snake. MGS3 is the first game in the series to take place in a jungle. This unique setting created an opportunity for new mechanics. The player can adapt to the environment by swapping Snake's camouflage, hunt animals and gather plants for food. This iteration in the series introduced a new feature in which the player must apply medicine and perform medical procedures on Snake if he is damaged in combat. Apart from the survival themed features, the controls and gameplay of the game are very similar to Metal Gear Solid 2. Like other Metal Gear games, the focus is on stealth, but the player can go through the entire game like a shooter if they choose to. Throughout the game Snake acquires weapons of all types; non-lethal firearms, handguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns, sub-machine guns, and explosives. Metal Gear Solid 3 was the first game to implement the CQC (close quarters combat) system. CQC allowed Snake to beat enemies down to knock them out, or put them in a chokehold to knock them out, kill them, or and/or question them. Metal Gear Solid 3's health system required the player to occasionally pause the game and treat Snake's ailments. When Snake is shot, there is a chance that the bullet didn't pass through him, requiring the player to use a knife to remove the bullet, apply disinfectant, apply styptic and bandage the wound. This was done through a submenu in the pause screen. Other ailments the player must treat Snake for include: leeches, broken bones, burns, cut, arrow/bolts/needles, stomach sickness, colds, and food/venom poisoning. Adding to the survival elements of the game, Snake Eater lives up to its name by requiring the player to scavenge food for Snake. Under the life bar there is stamina bar. If Snake does not eat any food the bar depletes, causing various effects. When the stamina bar is low, the player's ability to aim is severely handicapped, Snake's hands will shake in the first person aiming mode. Just like real life, Snake's stomach can also rumble, enemy soldiers can hear this, and will be alerted to Snake's presence.

The Uncanny X-Men
The Uncanny X-MenThe Uncanny X-Men is an overhead-view action game. Players commence by selecting two X-Men from the roster, with the second controlled by another player or the computer. They then choose one of five levels, including a practice level. The objective in each level is to reach the concealed 'command centre' and demolish it. All X-Men share similar abilities, allowing movement in any direction, jumping, and attacking. Half of the characters (Storm, Iceman, Cyclops) possess long-range attacks, while the other half (Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus) need to engage enemies in close combat. Each X-Man can endure a specific number of hits before being defeated. If both X-Men fall in battle, players can select two more to attempt the level again until all X-Men are used. Power-ups include an "S" that stops time, temporary invincibility, and a health restore. Additionally, a Magnet power-down (symbolizing Magneto) temporarily immobilizes the X-Men.
