Story:Five girls go to a party to a nice house on a lakeside. Five girls disappear without a trace... Now another five girls go there, in order to spend the vacation with the Martins, the owners of the house, in particular with the lovely Ms. Martin. This time, you should not let them die a gruesome death! Because "nice people" can sometimes turn out to be... yes, that's right - vampires. The whole house is full of traps, that are intended to catch the poor innocent girls, so that the vampires can suck their blood... ugh. Luckily, the brave adventurer is there in order to cease to be hunted and to become a hunter instead! Set the traps so that they will capture the villains themselves, using precise timing and good organization.Show more

Night Trap is one of those things that you almost had to be there for. The game itself is... friends and neighbors, it ain't great. But it IS kinda hilarious in its badness, and it's important from a historical perspective. It's one of the games that set off the whole "violence in video games" panic back in the 90s. If you get a chance to play it, you'll understand *why* that's hilarious. But if nothing else, it is worth preservation as a historical artifact.
Classic as FMV and in many other ways, as a time-capsule of it's era, a wonderful blunder, and I used to have a version that included video from the lead programmer and his humourous admission it did not come out as intended because of conflicting requirements of his client in coming up with this. It has been awhile since I owned or played this, but was a kick. Wondering why such stupid 'monsters' I had thought; he said in interview he could have no 'vampires', so compromised; I remember result was hilarious instead of scary, featured some out of work actors I grew up with on old US television: A nostalgia and video game library MUST HAVE , for ME again anyway!
