When I was a child, I wanted to grow up to make games like Final Fantasy and Secret of Mana. This was the first game I knew of that was made by people in the USA of that style - the first time I thought I could actually do that. The game itself is special to me, too. I love the Alchemy system, choosing spells and leveling them up. I love seeing what the dog transforms into, and I even love hearing the Boy make cheesy references to even cheesier fake B movies.
This game is so massively underrated! It's got the combat mechanics from Secret of Mana mixed with a unique alchemy magic system not seem in any other game. One of my favorite childhood games! Currently, the only way to get this game is the original SNES cartridge or by getting it "Any way you can." (Which isn't optimal.)
One of the best Snes games of all time. It brings you to 4 different times with a really nice story. Idont know how often i played it. It would be real nice to have it playable on PC or even much better with a remake or remastered.
While I never got to play secret of mana when I was a kid, I do own secret of evermore, and still to this day love this game and enjoy playing through it! I've loved the magic system where you have to repeatedly use spells to level them up and collect ingredients to be able to cast them. I especially like the different dreamscapes of the characters in the game becoming their own worlds, and think this would be a very cool idea for a VR game if they ever made a newer version of it. Always was fun traveling around with my dog no matter what shape he took throughout the levels, and if I got into a RPG for speed running it would definitely be this since I enjoy going back to it often.
It’s no surprise the soundtrack and atmosphere in this game is so captivating. The composer is Jeremy Soule, who also was the composer of Skyrim. If Square doesn’t want to make a remake then I’m doing it myself!

Fun romp through four different world designed after eras of time, I greatly enjoyed having the dog companion that changed to fit each land. The alchemy system, while a little janky, was also very fun.

Wolfenstein RPG
Wolfenstein RPGWolfenstein RPG is a first-person shooter and role-playing video game developed by id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment, released in September 2008 for mobile phones and in May 2009 for iOS. In 2013 the game was removed from App Store. The gameplay follows the recipe from Doom RPG as it is shown in the first person while being a turn-based role-playing game rather than a shooter and puts emphasis on the plot. Combat and movement are turn-based, allowing the player time to select their responses in combat. The player turns at 90 degree angles and moves space by space. One step or action by the player allows all other characters in the area to take one step or action themselves. The game takes advantage of its deliberately slow pace, encouraging players to take their time and check out every little corner, read the books on every bookshelf, and destroy all the furniture to see if anything is hidden within. Levels include underground passages and weapon development laboratories plus a level involving a moving vehicle. The game also includes two mini games: the card game War as well as Chicken Kicking, where the player is awarded points for kicking a chicken into a score area.
