Story:Super Smash Bros. Melee is the second installment in the Super Smash Bros. series and the follow-up to the Nintendo 64 title. It includes all playable characters from the first game, and also adds characters from franchises such as Fire Emblem, of which no games had been released outside Japan at the time. Super Smash Bros. Melee builds on the first game by adding new gameplay features and playable characters: it's major focus is the multiplayer mode, while still offering a number of single-player modes.Show more

If not sure what to write:
  • What made this game unforgettable?
  • Who did you play this game with?
  • What made it fun or challenging?
  • Why do you want this game on GOG?
Now, for this game, it is highly unlikely, but Melee deserves to be preserved better than an emulated version on a Switch 2. Now a future version on Switch 2 is not so bad, but it is locked behind a subscription service that not many people can afford. This site is not the preferred way to address this issue, but I still wish Nintendo would at least release physical and/or separate digital or collection versions of the classic games instead of being exclusive to Switch Online. Even if this is 95% not happening anytime soon, I am still hopeful that Nintendo could port their games on PC in any way, maybe GOG. But still, I believe one of the realistic outcomes for Nintendo to port some of their games on PC would be to make their very own digital storefront, a PC eShop, similar to Steam, GOG and Epic Games, but with Nintendo games exclusive to their storefront.
