Story:The game features various modes including Quick Race, Single Race and Underground, the game's main and story mode. There are 26 cars in total and 12 of the cars have police variations. The game has a rock, rap and techno soundtrack consisting of 10 artists and 17 songs; some are played in races and all are played on menus. The game also includes Atari's Pong as a minigame, which can be played while races are loading (though not in the European Windows version). MotorStorm: Arctic EdgeMotorstorm: Arctic Edge is an arcade racer pitting you against 8 other racers, human or AI in a competition to win in The Festival. The backdrop for the game is Alaska where you have to race on icy tracks in mountainous regions. Beside the other racers you have to take into account avalanches, broken ice bridges and a lot of other dangers on the route to victory.
The game is very fast-paced and it sees you racing around in cars, snowmobiles and trucks. You can select different wheels, exhausts, spoilers and more for your vehicles.
Virtua Tennis 4Virtua Tennis 4 is an action-oriented tennis game which focuses on fast matches instead of being a realistic simulation. The heart of the game is the career mode in which the player creates his own avatar. The goal is simple: reaching the top within four seasons. Here the player has various possibilities to improve his tennis player, e.g. by playing training sessions (arcade mini game like picking up eggs) to improve the statistics, buying new clothes with prize money or playing matches. The menu for this mode is made up like a board game.
Other playing odes are single matches, party mode (playing the mentioned mini games) or arcade (winning as many matches in a row as possible). Here players can choose between 19 licensed athletes (plus at release already retired athletes in the PlayStation 3 version). The standard controls for returning the ball consist of choosing the wished move, e.g. a spin, and the basic direction. When a special bar is filled up, players can unleash an especially powerful hit.
Lemmings PaintballUnlike most of the other Lemmings games, it does not use a side-scrolling perspective but instead an isometric view of the levels. The gameplay is also very different from other Lemmings games, focusing on splattering enemies with paint from a gun. The levels contain various puzzles including moving platforms, lemming catapults, and trampolines.
Objects available in the game include:
Duplicator: Can be used to create additional lemmings up to the maximum amount of four. Can also replace lemmings killed in action.
Switch: Can be used to open and close gates, lower platforms and so on.
Gate: Gates block certain areas in a level. They can be opened using a switch or key. Keys can be found in exploding crates.
Exploding crate: Contain a key or a catapult.
Balloon: Can be used to transport a lemming through the air from one specific location to another.Action
