to put simply, the game won't install, to ellaborate, I tried installing over a few days, everything was going well, then when it was around 57 gigs done, it randomly jumped down to 20 gigs, i tried to just let it continue and now it encountered an error and the "retry"download option did nothing, finally i tried restarting GOG galaxy, now the install button is grayed out and there doesn't seem to be a way to download the game without uninstalling and trying again over the next week and hoping the same exact [EXPLETIVE] thing doesn't happen again, is there any help for me?

and after posting this the download resumed, sitting at about 40 gigs...

have you tried another drive? It's a strange error.

Try clicking 'verify', as others have mentioned in other posts on this subject.

alright it happened again, i'm going to try this and install to a different folder [EDIT i mean drive], be back in a few days.

(y'know i'm sure this happened on steam when i was trying to install DOS2, guess larian REALLY has it out for me! ha!)

I'm not a Galaxy user so I could not give you better instructions on how to find this function - sorry. The good news is that in this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/baldurs_gate_series/bg3_crash_as_soon_as_you_hit_play

a fine user by the name of _Pax_ gave us this procedure:

"In the Galaxy client, go to that game.

Up top, there's a button just to the right of the one marked [PLAY], with two little circles-on-lines. CLICK THIS.

That opened a little menu. Choose Manage Installation - it's the third option from the top.

That opened a new little menu. Choose Verify & Repair - it's the last option at the very bottom.

Sit back and wait for Galaxy to do it's thing."
