If you've edited the the json and xml files to customize your keybinds, make sure you make backup copies before you patch the game to 1.0.5.

The file..

"C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\UserSettings.json"

and everything inside the folder..

"..\\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config"

Just copy the old files back in, overwritng the new ones and your custom keybinds are all back.

Did they fix the keybinding from in-game?
Thanks for the advice!
Figured this would be the case still waiting on download for 1.05

Always make a Backup of original and Modded file in a Zip or Rar.

I second that question, although I really doubt they did...

EDIT: Even if they don't, you don't have to worry if the game updates before you backup your config. It's not really necessary to mess with editing config files... just use this mod from nexus and bind all keys in-game, it's much easier:

Oops guess Im late to the party because it started updating already while I was having a smoke afk. If I have to rebind all the keys but the game gets a substantial performance boost I wont mind. Thanks for the feedback though.

You mentioned performance boost, so I have to ask.... Did you update your drivers?

Updated them in the evening to 460.89. And now just finished installing the patch. I have noticed that with the 460.89 drivers the frame rates are more consistent. They dont jump about so much. Let´s see what happens while playing with new patch. Will keep posting any changes.
Oh and by the way, my keybinds have not been wiped.

I installed a mod which allowed me to walk and this patch removed it. :( Do you know how to fix this? Before I could walk and drive slowly by pressing Alt, also holding Shift at the same time would make it even slower. It even changed E to Select and F to hack. :/

Can you bind to F for ESDF movement or is F still hardbound?

In the attached screenshot you'll see the line you need to add for binding a walk key highlighted. Mine is bound to E, you can subsitute that for any unused key. FYI ALT is not a good choice as it's bound to draw weapon (tap), holster weapon (double tap) and weapon wheel (hold). This is why no one has worked out how to make a seperate holster bind yet.

Thank you. :)

For anyone wanting to run 1.04 and be able to walk, drop these two .xml's in r6/config. It's set for Alt and Shift to walk/drive reasonably, press E to interact, F to hack, and the two mouse left side buttons to sprint and dodge. It's really perfect.

WTF are they playing at? The ****** key binds should have been the first ******* thing they fixed and yet they go on ignoring it kissing people off even more. CDPR needs to get it's head out of its dark hole and start making some right decisions.

AMEN! What are they waiting for? I heard when Witcher 3 released, it had the same problem... You want money fix it NOW!
Obviously it's low on the list of fixes. Doesn't change the fact that it should've been there from the start.
