I'm running CP 2077 on Linux Mint my hardware specs are as follows :

AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Asus RTX 3060ti ( driver version 525.147.05 )
16GB DDR4 3200
2TB SSD

I recently did a fresh install of CP2077 2.1 along with PL, I noticed the game wasn't running as smoothly as it was before but put this down to being in Dogtown, however after leaving Dogtown I noticed performance was still poor so I ran the game with Mango HUD enabled and sure enough the game isn't making best use of my hardware, I'm getting at best 60% CPU and GPU usage.

I compared this with 1.6 which I still have installed and the difference was very noticable GPU usage was at 90% + and CPU usage was hovering at around 75%, overall performance was very smooth at all times.

I don't seem to remember having these issues with 2.0 (I skipped 2.01 and 2.02) and changing various options doesn't seem to have any effect.

anyone else seeing this ?

Make sure you double check video setting, I have had the updates change them. They tend to mess with the DLSS/FSR area.mine turned off frame generation too lol.
I've checked all the options and it's definitely not that, the issue is that the game is not making full use of my hardware for whatever reason.

It may be an issue with the game or maybe it's something to do with my Linux setup, I did try switching to a different version of Proton and this did give me a slight performance boost but it's still not right. If it's a problem with my setup it doesn't really explain why 1.6 runs flawlessly but 2.1 is choppy.

So I'm guessing it's a bug of some sort.
Problem solved, I just needed to enable Fsync and Esync in Heroic Games Launcher, not sure how I missed that but nevermind, it's all good now.
I find my performance with 2.1 to be loads better than 2.0 and the stuttering in Dogtown is now at a minimum (still needs work), but don’t expect it to be comparable to 1.63. The requirements were changed and greatly expanded. So, obviously you aren’t going to get the same results with the same hardware.
To be fair now that I've got things working properly performance isn't far off 1.6 for me, it only drops a bit when I'm in Dogtown and even then it's only in certain areas.
