Usually against mixing activism/serious real life issues and games, especially in such a direct way (e.g. I thought "Covid Simulator" to be just avoidable, while "Plague Inc." still could be generally educational) but this time the game (Which has of course been made much time before the ukrainian war, I mean the full-scale one at least) is so appropriate and so close in its contents and message to what happened *after* and to what it's gonna fund. I think these two just belong together

WinterSnowfall: War is not exactly "politics", at least not in my book, it is pure madness. Call me a radical pacifist, but I'd hold anyone responsible for an offensive war under accusations of genocide. Yes, that includes several US presidents along with a swath of dictators and autocrats.

P.S.: Bought the game and also donated what I could directly to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

I stumbled on this dilemma sometimes. But what is the solution? Never donate? We know that corruption is definitelty a risk. I can't track my money personally to far-away, dangerous places

And I guess Armenia and Azerbaijan have their share of disputed territories, as do Israel and Palestine... can't we all just get along for f*ck's sake?

Just in case anyone does not know. The Red Cross is all about humanitarian effort. The Red Cross was funded out of dispear for the situation of unattended injured and suffering of all sides in the aftermath of battle. The Red Cross very consciously avoids any politics.

You ever thought maybe someone wants you banned as well? Should they do that?

I'm noticing a disturbing trend in the so called Western World. Too much pointing fingers at others while their own democracy fades into memory. backing nazis, censoring speech, putting journalists in jail.

Fabricating the facts, corrupting government officials to do their bitting, financing criminal organisations, thus generally manipulating public opinion and keeping a county dependant and submissive. The propaganda you are exposed here once is something you can read, see on tv on daily bassis in my home country.

In addition, I used to have a contact with a lot of Russian tourists (worked In the past in tourism). Sadly many of the Russians (not all tough of course) firmly believe that all of the ex east block countries nations owe them their existence and must surve the russian political ambitions even if their are against their own interests. Not on one occasion I heard statements in this manner directly.

So I am sick and tired of reading bullshit.

So that is that. Hope that is satisfactory answer.

and more than that, depending on country you are in. The Norwegain Red Cross, for example, rescues 100ds of people each year who are stuck, got lost or had an accident in the mountains or forrests (especially during the winter season), trains and maintains avalanche rescue units, have an ambulance service and more. all driven by volunteers.
