joppo: In any case, is my scenario more conducive to an answer than the "fascist power fantasy"?
To be honest, I was also thinking about Death of Endless first, but I remembered that many languages and media use female gender for death. Death from Discworld is male though.

Regarding your question, depends on what you mean by conductive. It goes along the OP question, yes. But you have also probably envisioned even more cruel scenario than gamer genocide morolf thought of. At least he(?) was nice enough to kill somebody quickly;)

Mafwek: Grindy P2W is fate worse than death.
avatar
joppo: I hadn't considered that. Drats.
avatar
Leroux: Better choice would be Neverwinter Nights with custom content ("custom content" including the myriads of fan-made adventures, campaigns and Persistent Worlds). ;)

Or any enjoyable game that is open ended and can not actually be "completed".
avatar
joppo: I would be afraid of Death considering that a single NWN campaign would count as a game completed, fanmade or not.
But open-ended games would definitely work. Simcity and Tropico series come to my mind. Problem solved, then.
SimCity 4 - with the region mechanic, it will NEVER be completed. Although for the Sims, it can be like purgatory, especially with the infinite commuter loop bug...

AnimalMother117: I'd do new campaigns in (1) Rome Total War and (2) Medieval II. After that I think I'd try beating (3) Donkey Kong Country Returns either on 3DS or Wii, I got about as far in both. After that I want to try and actually beat some RPGs like (4) Stella Glow, do a tag team run with (5) Fire Emblem Three Houses (the absolute only reason I even play this series anymore), (6) Atelier Ryza 2, and maybe a tales game, I have a few to choose from. However, I'd certainly try and do the first (7) Resident Evil Revelations either on Xbox or 3DS, once more I am about as far in both. Hopefully by that point Scarlet Nexus is out and I can play that, if not then I think (8) Grim Dawn Forgotten Gods, since Grim Dawn and Titan Quest are the toss up for favorite ARPG. Hopefully I'll be able to play (9) STALKER Clear Sky without it crashing the system, but if not then swap that with Metro Exodus. I'm thinking as I approach the end of the list I'd want some comfort food so (10) Yoshi's Island, (11) Super Mario Bros. 3, and (12) Metroid Zero Mission. Now, of course, if I had only so much time left I'd probably do something else... or not. It's mostly trying to decide what games I would prioritize if I had to. An anime bucket list might also be a real thing for me.

If it's okay, which game were you talking about? I was not quite sure since a couple of the games in my post I knew had remasters/remaster like mods.

carnival73: If you were going to kick the bucket soon which twelve would you play first?
I would probably re-visit...

Red Dead Redemption

God of War

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen

and...

maybe I'd finish Skyrim?

AC Black Flag... to sail the oceans one last time?

I might play AC Valhalla...

There are a number of games I love (Mafia II, LA Noire, etc.), but I don't think I'd want to think about the worst of humanity at that moment. Even RDR I'd be playing mainly for wandering the countryside on horse-back for one last go 'round.

I'm sure I could ultimately think of 12, but right now this is all I've got.

If I were kicking the bucket soon, I'd probably focus on my board game shelves for QT with them and people more than my digital shelves.

ah excuse me, a bit late, the red dot works again ( gog's forum warning missed a post ) and i didn't notice

I was talking about total war rome remastered
I sometimes end up overanalyzing decisions and taking too long. This is proportionally more likely with more important decisions.

The most enjoyment I get from a game, comes when I play it for the first time, without spoilers. However, until I play the game, I don't know if I'm going to enjoy it at all.

So my dilemma would be, replay something I know that I like but enjoy it less because I've done it before, or play something new that may or may not be brilliant/boring.

I'd probably kick the bucket before I have decided, without having played anything.

is there any game you can pick-up for on any given moment, with a reasonable time distance between playthroughs ?
Probably.

Tallima: I'm having fun with VR right now. Trying Vr should be something on your bucket list, if you're mobile enough.
What VR-set are you using and is there only Creed game for good boxing?

I once tried few minutes shooting some cowboys and trying to keeb my bearings when camera got bugged but i've been interested nevertheles. ^^

I have Creed but have not tried it out yet. Boxing would work up a sweat and I just don't think that sweating is a very good idea with the system. I really have enjoyed the wizard game and an elven archery game and I was just trying to Star Trek game and that seemed pretty fun. But my favorite has been the Star wars flight simulator game. Flying in an a-wing and looking around through your windows and finding a target is pretty awesome.

I have the Oculus quest 2. It's cheap and fits all of my needs and checks all of the boxes. I'm just hoping it lasts for a good long time.
CRPG revival games I haven't gotten around to yet, like Wasteland 2 and 3 and Unerrail.

Replay some of my absolute faves one last time, like Deus Ex and Morrowind.

If I'm still alive then I might try and finish some games I abandoned before but want to try again, like Witcher 3. Throw in some new stuff hopefully coming soon like Dragon Age 4, Bloodlines 2, etc.
