444+20=464.
4*100+44+20=464

So I can do basic maths. Why can't GOG? I've seen it fluxuate as low as 455, and as high as 465.

Why are floats being used anywhere near what should just be a solid integer? Is this including things which aren't exactly titles, like the "Spring Goodies Bundle"?

*Owned, not owed. A cool forum would let me fix the title.

Maybe you have irrational outbursts of hiding and unhiding your games (like a nervous tick) ?, but because they may happen sporadically, one does not remember...?.

Just a thought...

Is this another "drunk" thread?

What fluctuates?
And what's that math example supposed to prove?

I feel, like I'm missing out on some important context.

I've always had two consistent values, 1 game difference.
At least since I purchased Shadow Warrior (2013) I seem to recall ... or maybe it was a DLC for The Witcher 3, which I got before I bought the game ... one of those rare oddities.

In fact that DLC still shows as my third acquisition at GOG, back in May 2017. It doesn't have any downloads, but shows the following.

BASE GAME MISSING
You don't have the base product necessary to play the DLC. You can buy it below or redeem it if you already have the code.
A true oddity in my library, and I didn't purchase any of the Witcher games until later, with the 3rd game being later still.

I see the lesser value of 1630 when I hover over the User dropdown menu.
And when I go to my library it shows the higher value of 1631.

Been that way for years.

P.S. There has been a few changes in numbers somewhat recently, first off with the removal of the two free Elder Scroll games, and then the renaming of Doom and Quake games and the addition/renaming of two free independent versions of Mafia games (II and III).

The only fluctuation i ever had was Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall suddenly going missing. I never had any other discrepency in my library.

Nope. I barely ever use the feature and I'm quite firmly stable, thank you.

The display of owned games is different than the factual number.

maybe gog is bad at math, they are certainly bad in other areas...

You know that the number shown when you hover over your "account", is not necessarily the number shown when on your games-shelf?

If you have games (and/or "goodies bundles") hidden, their amount will be subtracted from the total number.

I addressed that issue just yesterday:

For me the difference between profile and My collection (shelf) is by 1 entry for a good couple of years now. I think some goodie pack or something triggered the discrepancy and it carried over ever since. Have 0 hidden entries on the shelf btw.

Maybe the math people were laid off and gog no longer computes as it used to.

You say that, but that's why the calculations have the 20 appended to them. I have 20 games hidden. 463 is not within a 20 digit number.

463 is not within a 20 digit number.
Huh?

Edit:
Ok, so you have 463 games, and 20 of them are hidden.
That means your account (games) shows 463 games, but your games shelf shows only 443 (463 - 20 = 443).

Sorry, but I don't get what the sentence "463 is not within a 20 digit number" is supposed to mean here.

OP - Have you run the GOG 'refresh' option?

With all the changes lately, it may well be your profile's stored values need updating using 'refresh'.

Aside from there being that discrepancy of one game, depending where you look (menu or library), no-one else has admitted to your issue. So likely just a temporary glitch.
The fluctuation is FAR higher for me. Sometimes it shows nearly 100 more than I actually have. No clue why this happens either.

Well that is weird, and I have certainly never seen anything like that.

Are you the only one on your PC that logs onto GOG or has an account at GOG?

Have you gotten GOG games from elsewhere maybe? I only have the one via Humble, Seven: Enhanced Edition, which every time I use the 'refresh' option or GOG changes something, gets sorted to the top of my library. Might especially have an impact if you have gotten GOG based DLC elsewhere.

Then again, if you use Galaxy, might be related to that, especially if you have imported games from other stores.
As reported here, there apparently just recently was an issue with the standalone multiplayer mode for Destroy All Humans! 2 disappearing but then popping up again in the library for people that got it for free alongside the pre-order for DAH! 2.
Maybe happened to you as well?
