To add friends you can search based on email or GOG username. But there's no way to import Facebook or Steam contacts or Gmail contacts and automatically search if they are on GOG. This would be a very useful feature. I have tons of Steam friends, 5,000 Facebook friends, yet only 2 GOG Galaxy friends!

To see the world through a child's eyes and think every man is your friend is a joyous thing, yet let us not call acquaintances friends. Given the amount of social media/networks related things GOG has been doing lately, I would not be surprised if this became a thing in Galaxy. But as to how soon - GOG takes time. It is a refuge for patient people. You befriend them, they you. You can show them your wishlist (exclusively) and start chatting a lot easier. Really good stuff :P. *Sarcastic fairy flies away*
