The downloaded game file is in .pkg format.

I have extracted file using Winrar.

The resultant "program" file has no file extension.

How do I now go about installing this game?

Any help gratefully received.

Cheers folks

First off, what version are you trying to DL? The windows version? If so, you need to select the OS version from one of the drop down lists(that show when the game is selected in one's library) before DLing the files.

Also the files for windows shouldn't(afaik) have pkg file extensions...there should be at least 1 exe file and possibly 1 or more bin files to DL....then once all game files are DLed to the same folder(on one's PC), one then finds the files where they were DLed to on one's PC & then runs the exe file, which will start the install process.

Gamerager is right you probably downloaded the mac version. I will attach a picture on how to download the windows installers. It happened to me before..Sometimes the default installers are from linux or mac instead of windows.

Many thanks - I hadn't noticed the System MAC towards top left.

Changed it to WINDOWS

All ok

Thanks

Not a problem.....now go have fun with yer games. :)
LOL

Same thing happened to me - with this same game.

I also hadn't noticed the "System" drop-down. So I let Galaxy install it and put away to later the figuring out WTH to do with a ".PKG"" file.

Thankfully stumbled across this thread - now I get it.

Thanks to both you for asking, and those answering.

:)
