I've just bought Total Annihilation and downloaded it to my new laptop but when I click to play I get the following error message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application.

Any thoughts on what's wrong.

Stupid question but did you install it?

You need to enable direct play.

Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features on or off -> Checkmark the Legacy Components (DirectPlay).

Btw i forgot which OS or windows are you using?

Ah all this codes similarity,guess it's not the right one since it's missing 2 00 for directplay i believe.Need to search now
Or is it the right solution?
I only checked here on gog as it's quite a common thing in the subforums of games i own and currently play,didn't really search google until now
