I think this randomizing feature has a lot of potential for value. This is especially true if you've linked up a bunch of different storefronts and have nearly your whole digital library in one place.
Unfortunately, the way it was implemented, and its subsequent abandonment screams of a half-baked attempt. In its current state, the feature is largely useless. It will recommend the same games over and over. Even with a reshuffle, I'm seeing the same predictable results, and they don't even make sense. First attempt will ALWAYS recommend Soal Reaver 2 for me, even though I've recently completed the thing.
It could be useful if overhauled. Let it search the whole library; even things that're not from GOG, but you have linked up. It may already be pulling that information, but I have no evidence of that. Let us tune the settings a bit and narrow down on genre at the very least. Finally, make it either truly random or at least fix the basic algorithm of it. Don't have it spit out identical results every time.
With some development effort, it could be extremely valuable. Hopefully, I didn't miss an announcement that it is in beta and will not make it in the future iterations of the Galaxy client. It's still there as of the last patch at least.
