I'm sure I'll get used to it, but a few things that stand out:
- Having to hover my mouse over a product to see its name is just bad design from a usability perspective. With multiple editions of a game, it can be bothersome to check which one is which.
- I often see the front page to skim the news. At least right now, the news are not prominent enough for me, and I'd really like a text synopsis to read.
These are my first impressions and might change. Also, the game cards look fine from what I've seen.

List view on store page is essential, it's much easier to process than giant picture tiles, especially with the titles hidden. Have a look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance:

https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=popularity&search=kingdom%20come

It just shows a bunch of identical tiles with no indication of what's what unless you hover over them. An action which you can't easily do on mobile devices, mind you, if that's what the goal was. Why an online store would make it harder to see what to buy is beyond me. It should have been caught in the first 15 seconds of testing.

It would also be nice to add a filter to hide already owned items. Also sorting by price maybe, but omitting it might have been a business decision from the start.

Another thing:

The store page has an indicator how many filters are applied.
If you navigate to the store via "Store -> Browse All Games -> All Games For $OS", the OS in question gets applied but not counted as a filter. Navigating to the store regularly and applying manually counts them, though.

A minor thing compared to everything else, but since we're here collecting feedback, might as well point out bugs.
Also a pro-tip for the store list: If your grid view can operate in 2, 3 or 4 column modes, you should pick the number of items per page accordingly, i.e. show 48 instead of 50. That way it doesn't always look like you're at the end of the list.
Did... did the news disappear entirely?

Almost looks like a captcha: cklick on every tile that shows "kingom come"

Seriously though, you would think that a website that is all about selling games would get one thing right and that is presenting their products. Well, maybe it's for the better. I have enough games anyway ;-)

This is an imbecillic design decision that seems to be happening everywhere, removing easy to skim text labels and clear information and replacing them with heiroglyphs and vague imagery. I have no idea why this has become the trendy way to style a program or website...

Edit: Oh, and the News section would be a joke being stuck down the bottom just in and of itself, but for me using Firefox ESR, it doesn't even work properly at all, I get three vertically stacked 'show more' icon-less links that I have to mouse over and read the hyperlink and manually click if I want to see the news loaded on a separate page.

Frankly, I don't know what your problem is. It's clearly visible. Just as visible as the "Discover GOG Galaxy" button.

We've noticed that many of our users had problems finding our news section, as it was lacking visibility. To improve discoverability we therefore decided to bundle the news with our game installers.

The new GOG design? Well, that may sound stupid but the first thing I did was clicking "Reload". I actually thought the layout was all messed up because the game page didn't load properly...

No need to get brusque. Yeah, that's what it looked like yesterday and it's back for me now, but I could swear that it was entirely gone eariler today, when I made that post. I should have made a screenshot.

It's still dumb for the news section to be reduced to three headlines at the very bottom, but that's already been said.

Reading is hard. That's seems to be basically the guiding philosphy of the Internet these days. Avoid text, use only images, emoji and videos.

Yeah, and this in turn just further propagates illiteracy.

Yes, it is and it really bears repeating. I've been checking Gog daily in the past and there's been numerous occasions with more than four news entries. So how is this going to work in the future? Do I have to jump down to the bottom of the page and then click through the news caroussel just in case? That can't be right. But it's gone so far overboard that I am open to the possibility that I am using the site blatantly wrong.

Edit for clarification:

My entire post there was a bit tongue in cheek. I actually completely agree with you.

I don't want to sound harsh, but I do agree with a lot of others here : new design is kinda problematic for me.
Lot of others already explained well and in detail, but here are my main grips...

- First, main page doesn't works well now for me : things are missing/broken (I'm using latest version of Pale Moon). [see screenshot, where I'm at the very bottom of the page]
- Informations are a lot more difficult to see, browsing pages is such overflown by icons/images etc. In short, too much visuals and not enough emphasize on infos.
- On front page, the news (if I could see them) are almost hidden.
- Kind of the same for gamepages, so many space wasted (by big images, huge EMPTY SPACES everywhere), it's hard to really see quickly the infos you are looking for.
- And the reviews : you have again to scroll so much to reach them ! As often, information isn't easily reachable and readable.
- On gamepages, the small pics showing the game : it would be nice to be able to see bigger images when hovering with the mouse and not having to click.
- In the catalog, not showing name of games is really an issue, you have to mouse over the images who don't have titles or the ones who have the same image [see my screenshot from your "Jump around" curation list].

In very short, I find now that relevant informations are now a lot harder to find/read, and browsing asks now for a lot more scroll & mouse movement. Which is annoying...

Of course, fortunately, some things have improved (like the reviews where you can filter things and sort without needing a script) :)
Sure it is a lot of work doing this kind of redesign, so courage to you GOG, and I'm sure things can be improved to please a lot more people.. But please, don't forget computer players who browse the site... on a computer ;)
So I hope you'll hear us and will be able to improve this !

Certainly a "stupid" idea but... why not proposing the option to have a "compact"/PC version of the site (to the choice of the user), with, at least, less space wasted/misused and infos better presented ?

Tablet/smartphone design and endless scrolling are for me two real issues nowadays on the web. So many mess to browse some pages now (and even to understand where you have to click sometimes) !

I'm currently not a big fan of the new front page. It's visually cluttered, less informative and more cumbersome to use than the previous layout, and there's no great new features to off-set these changes. From a user's perspective, there's nothing about it that strikes me as an improvement over its predecessor.
