Just found out thrue my BT backer mail that the Battletech was updated today and with a new character abilty system tested in the beta 1.3 branch. In steam it easy but how to do it in GOG?

GOG only get the patch when it's ready and if you want to test the patch in it's beta state then steam is your only option.

This is false, GOG get's beta patches on Galaxy. I don't know if they got it for this game though.

If the beta patch is on GOG it will be on Galaxy only. Look here for a guide:

I think you are right after all, i could have sworn Harebrained didn't push unfinished patches on GOG unlike Steam but i might have mixed it up with another game.

ChrisGamer300: I meant for this game as i know there's early access games and some other beta versions that's been here before but i'm fairly certain Battletech gets patched here on GOG when it finished.
Possibly. I don't own the game, but the way you posted that sounded like you were talking about GOG in general. There is nothing technical though keeping them from pushing it to a beta branch on Galaxy, which they can do themselves. But not all developers use it.

Well, I found the beta patch. Worked fine and nice touch on the new abilities for your pilots.
