The great point and click adventure which is available for free on GOG (and if you have not played it yet you should do it ... right now) will get a sequel as you can see here:

So I thought we should start voting for it to get it on GOG right now ... it's never too early :)

Let me guess : The free version will be removed soon from the Gog catalog .
Liked the original pretty much, hope this one doesn't get screwed like I think Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be.
I hope to hell it doesnt have the art style of the Broken Sword remakes / remasters
Great announcemnt! I completed Beneath A Steel Sky couple of days ago. At first I tought it's another box full of cliche (with antagonist named Reich :)) But, after some time, the game has turned into a very good tale full of amazing sense of humor and memorable characters.
Finally. They did talk of a possibility for a sequel during the Kickstarter for the Broken Sword sequel, but most of that talk fell in silence after they got working and released BS.

It's going to be full 3D.

thats nothing to do with the art STYLE though - it can still look like a knock off disney / pseudomanga
Yeah, I played this game under DOS in my childhood and two years ago in the ScummVM version. Hope the new version keeps the charme of the original game.
I still think about Joey every once in a while...

They'd be pretty stupid to do it, since playing the first game for free could be an excellent "bait" to lure gamers to the sequel.

But then again, sanity and smart moves is not a trait of our current times, so it's a possibility... :/

It says it's going to be 3d with a fully controllable camera, I wonder if it's even going to be in the same genre. XD

BGE2 seems like it could be a decent game... But it bears no resemblance to the original, I really wonder what's the point of naming it "2" if you want to make a completely different game, which is also a PREQUEL. I really liked the first one, it had a lot of charm, it's just weird to see what's coming out after that and with all these years of waiting.
Voted. Thanks for posting wishlist entry.

Frankly, i'd prefer it to use the same technology as the original BaSS; no need to be fancy or put an extra dimension to it.
Voted! I never completed the original game, but still. So many people are fond of the original, which is available for free here. No problem with having the second as well!
Let's hope that they don't screw up. Sequels to lauded and beloved games are always a risk. But having it here would definitely by good!
