Light at the end of the tunnel (if they can sort out who holds the rights to the game)?

Good news, but I thought the problem was only about the rights owners, not about compatibility.
I'm not a fan of ScummVM because I'd prefer the original thing, but if that's the only way to make the game work on Win7+, then ok..
I would prefer another newsite instead of the type of rock, toiletpaper, shotgun.

The game itself runs on Window 7. I would need to double check if it was the 64 or 32 bit version but I didn't use any patches. There was an issue with gameUX and rundll but he fix was to launch the game twice or a reg hack but this applies to a load of old games.
As far as I know, a way to make the game work properly on modern systems was found a long time ago (thanks to DirectDraw wrapper).

So, if there were no legal problems, this game would have already appeared in digital stores. At least in GOG, because there are a lot of old games here that have been brought back to life with the help of various wrappers (for example, the recent Hard Truck 2 re-release).

I think it's just too difficult (and expensive) to restore all the rights and the number of copies sold will not cover all these costs.

But hey, nobody forbids us to dream. (:
It's about god damn time... Holy shit... Such a good game, just rotting away, makes no sense.

I played my copy last year on Windows 10. It was a slight bother to get it running but I've seen much worse. ScummVM would be a bit more convenient, probably...
