On the 26th of March, according to the other platform.

With GoG having teased a digital re-release of the Dungeon Master series (or Skullkeep at least) wouldn't that be a perfect opportunity to get Bloodwych on GoG as well, and ultimately package both into another dungeon crawler-centric release bonanza, together with other dungeon crawlers listed here for example.

Wishlist entry for Bloodwych

Nice, hope it eventually turns up on GOG too.
If it shouldn't get a day-1 release here after all.

Honestly, the only reason this wouldn't make its way here, would be if the publisher wants it to be STEAM exclusive. Anyway, until the 26th... +1 on that wishlist.

Bloodwych is a gigantic game. So big, in fact, that even "CRPG Addict" couldn't get to the end (the guy was still a bit of an arse in 2012 - he's improved his style and analysis since then).

Still it's a very interesting game for its time and should delight every "dungeon-crawler" fan.
Nice! Throwback Entertainment/ Mirrorsoft is building up a nice DOS game library on the other platform. A lot of that stuff is difficult to find on disk. Would love to see them come to GOG.

I suspect they won't get plenty of sales on steam, specially considering that most of their games are really, really old (some of them are even CGA). They'd likely get better sales on GOG, where it seems there's a bigger customer base for old games. Unless they already tried selling their games on GOG and were rejected.

I think I remember reading somewhere that "Ziggurat" publisher wasn't very keen on selling its games here. The fact that they started selling on GOG and even pulled one of their games from steam ( Fields of Glory ) makes me suspect that they reached the conclusion that the market for old games on steam is underwhelming.
Old games in steam use to be bad marketed. Old DOSBOX versions, bad configurations etc... and it is sad because in the steam catalog there are games not present in GOG.
The old games in steam show themselves an image of abandoned, lazy or ignored. Of course I know there are exceptions to the rule. Accordng to my experience and oldies I own in Steam.

Another thing that I consider a key is the visibility. Probaby Steam is underwhelming with games lost into it, In the other side old games in GOG have more presence, polishing, love and as I said, visibility.

Hopefully GOG doesn't reject it. nearly 200 votes so I am hopeful, but if you'd buy it here, please do make sure to vote:

hmmm. but is that a tease or just some kind of inquiry? I'm not sure that means much?

Edit: Plus that was several months ago. You'd think it would have released here by now if that was some kind of prelude?

Wow, that's an obscure game to be getting a re-release, not that I'm complaining though. I'd love to see some re-releases of other DM-likes, like Black Crypt, Crystal Dragon or Captive.

It may not come across as such to a non-native speaker but "Was ist das denn?" is definitely meant in a teasing manner ("Now what do we have here?").
The tease being more than 5 months old doesn't matter all that much either. Could be that GoG is still working on securing/working out the rights (for the whole series), or that they are waiting for another opportunity to release it together with other similar titles, like Bloodwych.

Or Operencia: The Stolen Sun which is scheduled for release on the 31st of March.
Still plenty of (modern) dungeon crawlers left which didn't make the first (and hopefully not the last) round back in February.
Blodwyn strikes again, yay!
And I hope they bring Heresy of the Wizard too!
