GamezRanker: Yeah, I see. :D The point is the difference between those two, it shouldn't change and it ends up stating a lie. My post was not visible for 2 hours, while if you look at it, it states 1 hour on some screenshots. :D People should see the exact time of their posts while they are logged in. I know some people may not care, but there could be legit (and legal) reasons for that. And it could be misused with the same cases.. and not on the side of the user.

EDIT_1: This post also disappeared when I logged off. Is it the new norm, now?
EDIT_2: Yep, seem like it is. GOG decided to solve issues by targering users pointing them out. So, they are now screening their posts up to hours. Also it doesn't trigger thread activity in the correct time. This can completely derail the communication between people and it definitely influences it's flow. It also gives them time to read about what are people going to post, operate on things and then release it as a "misinformation".
EDIT_3: 30 minutes in and still shadowbanned.
EDIT_4: 1 hour passed and still shadowbanned.

Good you're keeping track of the time this shadow gutting is taking place during.
Just like police no doubt they have some times when they 'blitz' certain things.
Having information is always a good thing; to piece together what's happening; because you know other methods will just cause 'other problems' for them.

My posts have been constantly low-rated since whatever loser and his bot took a "liking" to me, yet I am not noticing any of my posts missing. Like, I can log out, clear cache etc, and then re-open a browser and see my forum posts.

I've seen a lot of posts saying "if you boycott gog everyyone loses"

well, you know, if gog fails to deliver the promise of user friendly, DRM free store then there's no difference if it stays alive or goes down, it's still irrelevant as a source of games for me

I don't want to be forced to read descriptions or even worse, cross check with forum published, user built list of broken games, I just want to be sure the game is NOT broken (aka DRM infested)

and regarding stupid decisions... recently I budged and wanted to buy something but gog was doing everything to prevent me from succeeding, literally all payment methods were broken one way or another, cool

Would be nice, but these are the gog forums.....GOG can't even implement(or do so easily) some basic functions people have been asking for for years, and various bugs(like the broken new page bug, and forum "purple dot" reply notification bug) have gone unfixed for nearly as long in some cases.

As for GOG supposedly blocking some posts from appearing, I don't think that's the case.....due to the things listed above, some things i've heard about GOG from others, and general observations of the forum. There's an old saying that works well here: "never attribute to malice, that which is adequately explained by stupidity(or laziness)"

Speaking of, I get a chuckle every now and then out of the fact that by low rating so many posters to negative or near negative, they've essentially ruined part of what some of em were/are trying to accomplish(i.e. negative rep stigma).

Another reason for boycott:

GOG has it's head so much "up" in China, you can't even see it's legs anymore.

They didn't acknowledge Christmas, ok...
They didn't aknowledge (Western) New Year.. as far as I know...

And now they made a sale for Lunar (chinese) New Year and they don't even have guts to admit it and they celebrate that on the front page with banner called "takeover" while spitting on western culture by this whole fact. They are refusing to acknowledge western (their) culture and they promote only China instead.

Since I pointed that out they called a team there to thank to one person saying how nice banner that is... :D To make it look like people are on board. I just think people didn't notice, yet.

Like.. Devotion was one thing. They are just not doubling-down since.. this is much more.

You're entitled to your opinion, but it's not a perfect world. There are 120 people on the list and it's not possible to please them all simultaneously.

What are your metrics for this specific GOG boycott's success, and from where did you derive them (i.e. why are your metrics the ones we should take as the standard)?

So they're taking an already abused rep and voting system, that they KNOW is abused, and actively making it worse. I'm convinced they're trying to kill these fora now.
