Does anyone here follow MMA or Pro-Wrestling? It was announced this week that Brock Lesnar will fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for him in MMA, but as a Pro-Wrestling fan I find him repulsively boring, and it kind of kills a story line when one of the protagonist only shows up for pay per views.

I only hope with the upcoming fight, he isn't putting himself in danger. I've heard several stories about the injuries that played a part in his initial retirement. Of course, I have no idea how many of these stories have any credence.
I'm not up-to-date really, last I remember Miesha Tate has been on that card. And wasn't Nate Diaz supposed to fight Conor McGregor, until the latter got dumped by White for refusing to comply with marketing responsibilities? And why do I know all that stuff? Gonna look for some news these days.

Yes, Conor and Nate were going to do a rematch on this card, but Conor decided he didn't want to fly from Iceland to Las Vegas for a press conference and ended up getting pulled from the card. Than Nate refused to fight a different opponent and got pulled too and now they will be doing that rematch on a later date, possibly in September.

The dude they are putting him up against, the worst he'll do is punch him really hard in the face, so unless the ref let's him take an unnecessary beating he should be OK. These MMA dudes get the worst injuries in training most of the time.

Cheers, can't blame Nate I figure. Interesting that McGregor wants to go once more against him, their first fight he really got - I think I heard Nate say somewhere - "his ass whooped" ;)
I know that Kimbo Slice died recently of a heart attack.

I saw some of his backyard fight vids back in the p2p days of Kazaa and Morpheus.

Pretty soon CM Punk is going to die.

He's gonna get in that ring, realize the outcome isn't fixed, and shit his pants.

I disagree. One of the WWE’s biggest problems is overexposure (hopefully the brand split will help). They’re not willing to give their top dogs any days off, leading to absurd scenarios like John Cena trotting out fresh as a daisy for another match after being hit by the equivalent of a nuclear bomb the night before. The shows keep getting longer and longer (Raw is 3+ hours, this year’s Wrestlemania was around 6), and some of the wrestlers show up at three shows a week. It’s absolutely exhausting, both from the perspective of the audience and the wrestlers.

Brock Lesnar is a final boss in a videogame, he shouldn’t be fighting every week. His pro-wrestling matches are like watching a silverback gorilla throw around a child.

I'm not going to come out ans say I agree but you have definitely given me something to think about.

My point isn't that he needs to wrestle every Monday night, but at least put in an appearance. Show up, scream at someone, add gas to the fire. Save any actual matches till the pay per view.
